The beach is nice and quiet. I can only really hear the sounds of the waves on the beach. My converse already have sand in them.
"Hold on, I have to take off my shoes." I hold onto Liam's arm and slip off my shoes and and socks. "Thanks." I say, and I blush.
"So, how are you liking it here?" He asks, looking at me while walking.
"It's nice I guess." I say, and swing my shoes with every step. "So, I've been wanting to ask this, but I didn't know how. Why are you here instead of with the band?"
"Well, management wants me to say its so I can write songs in the peace and quiet. But, the truth is that the boys and I got in a huge fight." He brushes his hands through his hair.
"What about?" I ask sitting down.
He sits next to me. "Everything. I've been a bit, loose with everything lately. Not really caring about shit. At least that's what they told me. Truth is, I've never been happier." He looks down at the sand, elbows on his knees and hands clasped.
"I know what you mean." And I really do.
"Not having any responsibility, being free, following whatever dream you could ever think of." He looks out at the waves. He really is very handsome.
"That's the best thing ever." I say, picking through the sand.
"Being and doing what you want. But it was, short lived." He says. "They made me come here to relax and get my shit together. Apparently I'm not ready to go on tour."
"You seem pretty stable to me." I say, knocking his shoulder with mine.
"Thanks." He laughs and looks at me. "You know, you're quite pretty."
"You know, coming from a handsome British boy, you almost make me believe that."
"But it is the truth. How can you not believe that you're beautiful?" He asks.
"Well I know I'm attractive. But I don't really believe that I'm beautiful. It's confusing, I know. But, it makes sense to me."
"You're crazy." He says, knocking my shoulder.
"Whatever. I bet you that you can't beat me back to the hotel." I say, smirking at him.
"You wanna try me-" I cut him off by jumping up and running as fast as I can.
"Not fair!" He yells, jumping up and running after me.
He's catching up to me, and I am almost at the hotel door when he grabs me by the waist and spins me around so I'm facing the waves again.
I turn around but he's already inside. "Cheater!" I yell as I get inside.
"I win, fair and square." He says, pushing the button on the elevator.
"You cheated and you know it." I say, crossing my arms and sticking my tongue out at him.
The ride up was quiet, except for the few times that we would make funny faces at each other and laugh.
He walks me to my door and I pull out my key card. "I had a lot of fun tonight."
"I did to." He smiles and blushes. I turn around to unlock my door and push it open.
When I turn back around I am met with a pair of warm lips and a scruffy beard. I kiss back, putting my hands on his biceps as he puts his on my hips.
I'm the one to pull back, biting my lip and smiling. "Wow." I say, letting out and small breath.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that. Sorry, I'll see you later." He says, his eyebrows furrowed as he walks quickly back to his room.
"Wait, Liam!" But his door is already closed. I touch my lips and blush. "What just happened?"
