WMYB, my ring tone, started to play as soon as I pulled my tank top over my head. I never saw this number, should I let it go to the answer machine or not. Well YOLO, I will answer it. The conversation went like this:
The person: Hi can you do me a favor?
Me: Sure what is it?
Them: Can you take a survey. It is a short one.
Them: Do you know of the band One Direction?
Them: Do you like them?
Them: Can you sing a few bars for us to win a chance to meet them?
Tell me I'm a screwed up mess
That I never listen, listen
Tell me you don't want my kiss
That you need your distance, distance
Tell me anything but don't you say he’s what you're missing, baby
If he's the reason that you’re leaving me tonight
Spare me what you think and... tell me a lie
Them: You are fantastic, by far the best, and what's your name love?
Them: Okay bye.
Shoot! I can't believe I just did that, I sang over the phone to a stranger. How can I be this stupid?
I ended the speaker phone call. "Okay guys we found out that the one who was singing is Avery."
"Lou that was great, how did you do with keeping a straight face?" Niall asked me.
I shrugged, "I guess all of those prank calls taught me well. What do we do now?"
"I say we go over there in a few minutes." Liam suggested, and we nodded in agreement.
That was the weirdest call ever. I bet it was a prank. My thoughts were interrupted by the growl of my tummy. I look in the mirror one last time making sure my bandana is perf, and then I headed down the marble stair case. As I reached my fridge I heard a knock on the door. I skipped down the hall still humming Tell Me A Lie. When I get closer I notice five figures behind the door as I am about to unlock. Holy crap. That call might not have been a prank call. I open the door to see the five stunning famous members of One Direction. I shut the door, and open it again. Nope it is not a dream. I leave the door open and I walk to the living room. I guess they got the sign and followed me in. I hold up a finger signaling them to wait a minute as I grab a picture of lemonade, and glasses. I come back to see all of them standing awkwardly.
"Give me another moment, sorry." I say as I run up to my room and fangirl scream. I run back down to see the boys chuckling, "I am sorry about that, I really didn't want to do that in front of you. I can imagine how tiring it can get seeing that everyday." They were still laughing, "What's so funny?"
Liam, who was the calmest one answered between chuckles, "When you saw us at the door, your face was in shock and then you shut the door and opened it. Then you left us standing there with your door open got lemonade, then fangirled upstairs loud enough so we could hear you and ya."
By this time the boy's laughter calmed, but my reaction was so bad that it made them start it up again. I hopped on my couch and grabbed a pillow and dug my face in it ashamed. "They heard me fangirl. I can never show my face again." I whispered but all the boys heard me and started to roll on the floor laughing. I started to fill the glasses once I was done being ashamed. I grabbed mine and started chugging it. "Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" I scream out. All five lads got up immediately and look at me with concern. I grabbed my head, "Stupid brain freeze!" And once again they are on the floor laughing.... Ten minutes later and they are finally done laughing their heads off, and sitting on the couch sipping their drinks dry. I broke the silence once again, "So why are you here, and how did you know my name and how did you know I was a fan?"
