It's been a first few great months, and now it's almost Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday, always has been and always will be. The reason being that my best friend Candice and her family do a haunted house and I always get to help out. Candice is a feisty girl, she's short, has brown hair and loves cheer leading. She tried getting me to try out for the team but it just wasn't happened. I'm more of a curling up with a book kind of girl.

I'm really excited about today because we are going to set up their property for the haunted house. It's on Halloween which is next Saturday.

"Hey are you ready to go?" Candice asks as she walks up to me smiling.

"I'm so ready!" I say beaming.

"Oh by the way, I got us both invitations to a Halloween party next Friday. It's suppose to be huge and it's obviously a costume required, so I was thinking we can go shopping for it after we finish getting things started at the property."

"Sounds like a plan. Who is throwing the party?"

"Veronica Crawford, she's the captain of the cheer squad. She's a junior and her brother is a sophomore. He's on the football team."

"Oh okay cool." I say smiling. Her dad comes and picks us up and we drive over to the property. Today was mostly just taking things out of his trailer and bringing them out. There were so many boxes and bins full of stuff for this weekend. After we unloaded everything we asked her mom if she could drive us to a halloween store so we could go shopping.

"You know what we should do for our costumes, we should do decade!" Candice says outloud.

"Okay, what decade do you want?" I ask her as we flip through costumes.

"I want to be a flapper girl, so I'm going for the 20s. What about you?"

"I think I'm going to go 50s." I say as I find the perfect costume for me. It was a cute 50s bathing suit kind of thing.

"Look! It's Veronica and her brother. Ugh, he's so gorgeous!" Candice says pointing to the entrance of the store. A girl with blonde hair and a tan was with the guy from the bus ride on the first day of school. He looks over at me and smiles.

"Hey, bus girl! What's up?" He says walking over to me.

"Hi, just shopping for a party." I tell him.

"You're going to the party? That's awesome. Hey, sorry I never really sat in your seat after the first day. I got the message that it was taken and just didn't want me anymore. Also, I got a car." He laughs at his joke. I smile and hold my costume to my chest.

"So what are you going as? Maybe we can match." He winks at me.

"Oh uhm Candice and I are doing decades." I tell him. He looks over at Candice and smiles.

"I know you, you're friends with Veronica. Veronica, come over here." He shouts. Veronica turns around and smiles in our direction. She walks over to us and hugs Candice.

"So I see you're shopping for your costumes. Is this the friend you were telling me about?" She asks Candice.

"Yeah, this is Porter. Porter this is Veronica."

"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I smile at her. She nods her head and her brothers eyes widen and he smiles.

"Your name is Porter. You never did tell me your name. Do you remember mine?" Veronica's brother asks me.

"Uhm haha, no I don't." I admit.

"Crawford. Chace Crawford." He laughs and sticks out his hand to shake mine.
