Still in shock from what the little girl had just told me, I quickly chugged my water and left the restaurant without even bothering to order pizza. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts anyways. This bothered me. I had been so rude I treated Ashton like he was an am-mature of some sort, But obviously I was way off and now I'm kind of embarrassed.

I snapped back to reality and remembered that I HAD to meet my Uncle. I get distracted so easily it's not even funny. I paced the aisles of the airport trying to find the main entrance. But it seemed Everywhere I walked, people were staring at me. I thought.

Is there something on my face?...

It made me really uncomfortable because I'm the most self conscious person you'll ever meet and having everyones eyes on me in the airport didnt help. I shrugged it off

I finally found the doors of the airport and the first thing I saw was a White Suburban and then a gold one directly behind it. I looked around simoultaneously because this is where my Uncle said he'd be ,and I was more than ready to get out of this airport. Just as I was about to let out a sigh of frustration, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Hey Lil' bones?!" I heard a deep voice with curiosity come from behind me.

I swooshed around and sure enough there was Uncle Rob.

I ran to him and jumped in his arms. Uncle Rob had been calling me "Lil' bones" ever since i can remember because I was always very petite and I still am.

"ahh," he sighed. "How's my favorite neice doing?"

"I'm great!!" I responded releasing from his hug.

I absolutely despised my mom for making me come here practically the whole summer leaving Becky , Shawn and.... you know who, behind. I couldnt lie to myself though. I missed Uncle Rob more than anything. he still looked the same. Dark brown hair, blue eyes, and a slight grey patch on the back of his head.

"Man, I havent seen you since you were probably 15! Now look at ya. Turned out to be a very pretty young lady."

I blushed and laughed. And then made our way to the car to head home.

The car ride was dead silent until he piped up.

"So you're going to love what I've done with the place."

I nodded.

"I really hope you replaced the rickety fence that looks like it's from the 19th century."

He chuckled.

"Auntie Tisdale is really excited to see you better make sure and give her a giant hug. She took off work just for you."

"Great. I'll get prepared. she's going to be like "omg your hair's so long" or "you're so tall now"

I finished with a smile. Well it was true. all old people did it if they didn't see you for a while.

We finally pulled into the driveway of the old house and a million memories flashed through my mind.

I really missed coming down here. And just running in the open field with not a single thought in my head. It made me sad. It was easy being a kid. Now everything is complicated.

"You alright?" uncle Robert interrupted my daydreams.

"Oh- uh yea super!" I said sarcastically.

I walked inside and I was immediately showered with a huge hug.

"Faye!! how are you? I've missed you so much!!"

my aunt exclaimed retreating from the hug. I could see the light in her eyes. She was happy. And I was too. For once in 5 days my heart felt warm seeing her overjoyed made me smile. Being here once more made me remember how much I absolutely love this place. There was just that something about Australia that had always made me feel at home. This was the house that built me and I couldn't be happier for my mom making me come here.
