Chapter Twenty-Five

I got to work with Jake and Jules the next night and Kellen was there too which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Jake and I had realized there just wasn't that romantic spark there between us. There was lust and friendship and that was it.

Kellen was a lot less of a prev tonight, he was being more vocal and talking with us and he fit right in. Jules was tense around him just because he was new and a guy but she eased up through the night which means she was feeling more comfortable around him.

It helped he wasn't staring at anyone's ass or boobs all night.

"Hey, I really am sorry about last night, I don't want you to think that I'm a creep or anything." He said nervously

"Jake's worse but he's a friend. Remember first impressions are key." I told him and he nodded

"I know, and it won't happen again. I didn't mean to stare."

"Didn't mean to stare or be obvious about it?" I asked and he smirked

"I didn't mean for you to catch me staring honestly." I laughed and shook my head

"At least you're honest."

"That I am." He put his hands in his pockets and I took in his lean body, he was closer to my height, a few inches taller and his body fit well with that. He had dark blonde or light brown hair and hazel eyes. He was attractive.

Not in the rugged way Jake was or sexy nerd way Aiden was, but in a more classic way. He looked like the typical all American football player.

"Hey, I am sorry for the bed first impression but I promise I'm not a bad guy." He stuck his hand out and I fought the urge to roll my eyes and shook his hand.

"We'll see about that."

"Hey, I'm actually a big softie at heart and shit." He said dramatically as he put his hands over his heart and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Got you to smile." He pointed out and I nodded

"Congratulations to you."

"Thanks, it was the accomplishment of the night." We got back to work and at the end of the night he walked me out to my car while Jules hung back with Jake so she could get a ride home. She moved out of here place and in with Kelly.

"I forgot my jacket." He said as we were about to go outside

"That's fine." I kept walking and he put a hand on my arm to stop me.

"Can you wait, you shouldn't walk out this late alone." He told me and I shrugged and he ran back to grab it while I continued to walk out to my car, I just wanted to be home and it was a long night.

"Well hello sexy." I heard someone slur and I looked to see a group of three guys, they looked drunk but not too drunk.

I looked away and kept walking to my car and pulled out my keys, unlocking the nozzle for my pepper spray I kept on it. I was so thankful for Aiden in this moment, he insisted I have it and keep it with me at all times.

Someone grabbed my arm and I turned quick and put it up, making the guy smirk In front of me.

"What do you want?" I asked not really wanting to walk to my car yet, I don't know how often they're here but I don't particularly want them knowing what car I drove since they clearly knew where I worked

"Just to see if you wanted to have a little fun."

"No, back off." I said and when one of the others made a move towards me I sprayed it.
