5 Escape

Masyadong mabilis ang lahat ng nangyari. The moment he loosen up his grip on my waist lumingon na agad ako sa likod ko. Pero nawala siya agad. Yung likod nalang niya ang nakikita ko na papalayo sa dance floor. I want to run after him, but for what? I don't wanna feed his ego. Ayoko mang aminin but that guy could actually made me feel that kind of feels considering our 'history'.

Pinilig ko ang ulo ko. Maybe he's just drunk because no way in hell he will do that to me. Napailing nalang ako.

I saw Brea, papalapit siya sa akin. Napamura pa siya nang muntikan na siyang matumba. She's  tipsy. Kahit naguguluhan pa din ako sa kung anong nangyari nagfocus nalang ako sa kanya. Parang gulat na gulat siya, e.

 "Mace! OMG! He's here!" Sabay yugyog pa sa balikat ko. 

Medyo nahilo ako sa pagyugyog niya, maybe i'm the one who's tipsy. Damn, smirnoff. 

"WHAT?!" I couldn't heard her voice, malakas kasi ang sounds and for pete's sake we are in the middle of the crowd! I groaned and held her arms. Pinunta ko siya sa isang gilid, away from party people.

She held my shoulders at nanlalaki ang mga matang tumingin sa akin. "REED! HE'S HERE!"

Para akong naestatwa sa pagkakatayo. I immediately regret what I've said to them na hindi ako aalis. I don't know if it's because I'm too thrilled my ex is here or because I'm too nervous. After a month i'll finally see him.

Concern is evident in Brea's eyes. "Are you okay, Mace?" 

It's as if any moment, i'll break down. Well, maybe during the first weeks, I will. But now? Hell no. Pride is all i've got and no matter what happens, I'll make sure he knows that I'm strong enough to see him. I need to act tough. Fake it until you make it. 

I nodded and smiled. "Yes, why wouldn't I? Tara, nasaan ba sila Tori?"

Nakatingin pa din siya sa akin sabay nguso, trying to decipher if I am really okay but then she sighed, parang hinahayaan nalang  niya ako to handle this situation my own way. "Nandoon na sila, even Jax and Cason's are there. Let's go?"

"Yes." 

Sabay na kaming lumakad papunta sa couch kung saan kami nakaupo kanina. The music is still so loud medyo dim pa. Hindi pa ako nakakalayo, hinatak niya na ako ulit.

 "Are you really sure you're going to do this? We can go home if you want. I'll text the girls na sa labas nalang tayo mag meet and we can sleep over sa inyo."

Umiling ako. It's only a matter of time kasi magkikita at magkikita pa din naman kami ni Reed. We both have the same circle of friends, so why prolong the agony, right?  

"No Brea, it's now or never. And besides, it's been a month, I can do this."
