the next day at school, things were a bit awkward. wyatt was silent at times unless he was asking me for help in chemistry. by lunch, i had to do something.

"can we just break all this tension stuff off?" i said, mixing up my words. he raised an eyebrow.

"i don't know what you're talkin' about, jae-baby." he smiled, acting as nothing ever happened.

"so we're just gonna shrug it off?" i practically yelled at him. "like you never did anything?"

"it was one kiss, okay? i didn't even enjoy it. i'm not straight, jae. i'm bendy for you."

"why did you try in the first place?" i sighed. we are never going to get anywhere at this rate.

"i don't know, she practically forced me." he said, chewing a sandwich. "i don't like this girl and nor will i ever."

"i hope you're not bi or you'll catch me saying bye, bye, bye," i said. "for a girl at least because if you really love me then i don't expect you to leave me.".

(a/n three years ago i wrote this part not really knowing what i was saying! i was like, 12! it's okay, i know this is biphobic now and i'm literally bisexual so please stop attacking me in the comments! i'm not a dumb 12 year old anymore and it was a mistake!!)

"yeah, but it's high school." he said. "god made us to be his test dummies. i'm trying new things."

"so you wanna try to kiss people while you're in a relationship?" i asked, giving him sass like something my mom would do.

"you don't get what i'm saying, jae."

"don't 'jae' me! i don't understand you! i thought you were the perfect boy! we all have our flaws, i guess." a tear fell from my eye. "and your flaws just have to affect me."
