And so this tragedy is ended,
By the deaths of Aeschylus
And Nyssa the Bacchante too.
Desire was their undoing.
Mortals - beware!
The sting of Cupid's shaft
Brings desire rather than love.
Be careful what you seek,
Lest you find it!
Citizens of Athens,
I, Dionysus, say goodbye.
