A/N: Sorry for updating so late, sorry that this chapter is sorta short too, but it's because not much is happening, you guys will just have to wait a bit for some action.... like next chapter. I'm a bit behind on chapters which is why you're only getting one a week, but hopefully I can catch up tomorrow as I have an off day. Not too much happens in this one that you will like, but the story picks up next chapter, I promise. Then it will be like a wreck, one that you can't look away from... Yep it's gonna suck but first, grimmace at this chapter as you all will surely hate it ;)

The blackness had consumed her, but this as not an unsettling one like in her nightmares. No it was Theoric’s handkerchief that covered her eyes this time and it was much more welcomed than her nightmares.

“Theoric! Where are we going?” She said while giggling like a love struck puppy.

Her hands had clamped onto his hand and bicep, pulling him as close as humanly possible, her head leaning against his shoulder. She could tell they were outside as the blades of grass ticked her feet through her sandals. The night air nipped at her exposed arms and caused her teeth to chatter, at least till Theoric draped his cloak over her shoulders.

“Not much farther...Though I do have to ask my dear Sigyn; do you trust me?” His whisper in her ear sent a shiver down her back.

“Of course I do Theo-RIC!!” Her voice became shrill followed by a few childish screams as she was swept off her feet.

Her fingers dug into his leather armor as she felt his cloak be wrapped around her as if she were becoming encased in a chrysalis like a butterfly. The sound of running water filled her ears as she heard his boots slosh through the stream they appeared to be crossing. She heard the water die away and felt the man’s pace slow and finally halt. She felt him gently placing her feet down, and she could feel the grass yet again.

“Okay,” Theoric’s deep voice said from behind her, working on the ties to the blindfold. “Open your eyes.”

It took several seconds for her eyes to adjust, even if it was dark outside it was a different darkness than what the blindfold had presented. The first thing she saw was the shimmering light of the city. Gold paved roadways lit up far brighter than she would have ever imagined. They were on a hilltop near one of the great waterfalls. She had seen it once, when she had gone for a ride with Fandral so long ago.

“Do you like it?” Theoric’s arms wrapped around her waist while the wind whipped around them on the hilltop.

Her hands danced along his, giving them a squeeze and fell back against his broad and welcoming chest. Her hair, that she had braided back before they left, snapped at her face but Theoric’s cloak wrapped around her body kept her warm.

“Yes; it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen Theoric. What brought this on?” The maiden turned in his arms; letting his hands slide down the small of her back to rest on her hips while her fingers played with her his hair that flowed just below his shoulders.

“Do I need a reason to display my love for you my betrothed?”

His head inclined to hers, his lips ghosting over her neck and along her jawline. Her hands wrapped around his neck, pulling his lips to meet hers. She felt the passion hidden behind the movements of his lips against hers. His fingers pulled her waist tighter against his body. He began to kiss down her neck again; she felt her body melt into his in the moonlight.

“It is but a month away my love, you must be patient.” Her body leaned away from his, but his hands trapped away her. His eyes apologized profusely with his sheepish grin. She returned with her own smile and stole a quick kiss from him.
