When it came to Christmas, decorating the house wasn't something you were entirely into. You never saw the pleasure of dangling bright lights in the living room or the Christmas tree in the corner drowned in tinsel, the glittery star at the top doing nothing but adding to the mess.

But, when you met Diana, Christmas became one of the most exciting holidays you could've ever imagined. You weren't sure if it were the sparks in her eyes when she stared at the bright lights or the way a certain smile graced her lips when she stared up at the tree, but it grasped your heart and shook it to its core.

This Christmas, you wanted it to be special.

The first crisp sunset of December you had both set up the Christmas tree. The green plastic branches were dusted with fake white snow, gold baubles and tinsel causing a gentle reflection. You couldn't help but stare at Diana's eyes again, before leaning over and pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"What was the for?" She asked, still smiling at your sudden act.

"I don't know," you said. "Christmas spirit, I suppose." You turned back to the tree, suddenly noticing the star at the top was missing. Scavenging through the box, you pulled it out, realizing it was bent.

You slowly made eye contact with Diana. "Christmas shopping?" You suggested.

She nodded, hair bouncing on her shoulders. "Christmas shopping!"

You wrapped an arm around Diana's waist as you walked around the store. It wasn't out of protection, as you knew well she could your ass. It was for a sense of comfort - a warmth you both enjoyed.

When Diana had picked out a star she enjoyed, she gasped in surprise, running over to another area of the Christmas section.

There, she had spotted a large Santa hat, placing it on her head without a second thought. "How do I look?" She asked, a bright smile gracing her features.

You shook your head, walking over and wrapping your arms around her waist. "You look beautiful."

It seemed that nothing you could do or say would make her embarrassed, as her smile grew and pressed a quick kiss to your lips.

Parting, you spotted a small boy staring at Diana, his mother also gazing at her. You almost laughed at how similar the two looked.

"A-Are you Wonder Woman?" The child asked, wide-eyed.

Diana bent down on one knee to make herself the same height as the child. "Yes, and who might you be?" She asked.

"M-my name is Dylan!" The boy then smiled shyly. "Can I have a photo, please?"

Nodding, Diana bought the kid to her side, looking up at the mother as she pulled out her phone. You smiled gently at the scene.

When the child thanked Diana, he suddenly ran over to you. "Are you her boyfriend?" He asked.

You couldn't help but feel your face go red. "Um, yeah. I am."

The child looked almost gobsmacked. "How? I mean-" The child huffed. "How do you find someone like Wonder Woman?"

You made brief eye contact with Diana before bending down like she had done earlier. "First, never make her mad. Because she is always right. Secondly, treat her like you love her from the moment you meet. Chocolate and ice cream normally helps."

"Chocolate and ice cream?" Dylan asked. You nodded. "Those are my favorite things! Thank you, Wonder Woman's boyfriend!"

You laughed at the boy walked away with his mother, waving at Diana until he was out of sight.

"So, you've always loved me, huh?" Diana asked, arms wrapping around your neck.

"Of course," you said with a soft smile. "How else do I keep you from kicking my ass?"

There were five days until Christmas. The sun had set, Diana and yourself seated in front of the fireplace. Pulling the rest of your firecrackers. Multiple paper-crowns sat on top of your head, but the number was small in comparison to Diana.

"I have one more," you said, reaching behind you and showing Diana the last firecracker. Of course, it was printed differently from the previous due to you having it specially made, but you didn't tell her that.

Holding it out, she grabbed the other end, both of you tugging at the same time. Diana let a noise of surprise as confetti exploded from the firecracker, pieces falling in her hair.

"Look inside," you said, chewing your lip nervously.

Reaching inside, she pulled out a necklace with a small pendant attached. It was cliche, but you knew she'd love it.

"Thank you!" She said as she tackled you into a hug, forcing you to the ground.

Breathing a laugh, you stared up at her. She swooped down, pressing a loving kiss to your lips. You tangled a hand in her hair, falling deeper into the kiss as it sent goosebumps down your arms.

"I love you," Diana whispered, her deep brown eyes staring at you.

A stupid grin plastered itself on your face. "I love you, too, Princess."

Christmas Day had finally arrived. You had gotten up earlier than usual to start on breakfast; pancakes staked in no less than 5 servings, berries and whipped cream galore, and hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

Diana had walked into the kitchen with only her pajamas on, wiping her tired eyes.

"Babe? Why are you up so-" she stopped, staring at the food. "You did this?"

"Of course," you said, placing a Santa hat on her head and pressing a kiss to her cheek. "Merry Christmas."

Diana grinned and hugged you tightly, burrowing her face into your neck, almost in embarrassment.

"I love you," she mumbled into your neck.

You smiled. "I love you, too, Princess. Now, let's eat these pancakes."
