Not a whole lot to say about this one. It was short and sad.
When I come up with characters, I tend to have what I guess could be called a more 'literary' approach. I create a basic idea of what I want the character to be and then see what happens. They tend to shift and grow as I write them. Often a little, sometimes a lot. Sharpe appealed to me, and I felt like it'd be cool to do a bit of expansion on her character.
I kind of find myself wrestling with whether or not I like writing miserable stories. Sometimes I really, really do. Other times, I'd rather not torment my characters. It's a weird kind of love-hate relationship.
Obviously in this case it was all misery all the way.
I also thought it was kind of neat to show why Sharpe went so far as to get black lens implants over her eyes.
I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading. Onto Ceaseless!
