- Song: Little Things by One Direction ( yes) -

"Dad! I told you, I don't need a chauffeur." I whine looking at the man opening the car door. "But I want you to have everything. I want you to be safe." He chuckles urging me to go inside the expensive white car. "But dad, I thought I told you before, I'm a big girl and I can just ride a bike home. It's not that far."

"Alright, alright, one ride won't kill you Clementine. If you still feel the same way when you come back, we'll talk about it with your mother on the phone." "Mama told me it was a butler before I left for America. I think she was drunk." I laugh remembering Mila's "butler". "Get in that car before the "butler" gets tired of standing there" With a loud groan, I get inside the car placing my school bag on the leather seat before yelling "Wait!".

I hop out, running to hug dad. "Don't stress out about that business thing with Mr. Malik." I smile hopping back into the car. "Yes, dear." I wave goodbye sticking my body out of the window to still see him. "Stay safe!" He waves as the car drives off.

Now it was just me (and the driver) and  my fresh start. I look around the busy road and sidewalks filled with people starting their day. It was my first day in school, a private all girls school. With the whole neat maroon plaited skirt, white blouse and neat polished black shoes, clean white knee high socks and tie.

Will they like me?

Do I have to pray before eating my lunch? Before eating anything?

What if the music teacher's a strict old woman?

Oh God, what if there's a Regina George and a whole hierarchy?

My thoughts are cut off when the car suddenly stops in front of a massive pink-ish building. The chauffeur is already out the car and opening the door. This is stupid.

 This is stupid

"Thank you." I shyly say, grabbing my bag and sliding out the car. "I'll be here, in the same spot after school Miss. Wilson." He smiles, tipping his hat. "Thank you sir." I smile back before turning to look up at the tall, elegant building.

"Hey!" I hear a deep Irish voice. I look around seeing nothing but the car driving to the golden gates, the marble fountain and trees. "You must be Clementine." I look back seeing a blonde headed man opening the large white french doors with glass. I nod before he ushers me to come inside.

I do so, fixing my skirt as I walk up the steps and past the white pillars. "I'm Niall, Mr. Horan. Nice to meet you, Miss. Wilson." Zayn's friend. He smiles sticking his hand out so I give him a small smile before shaking his hand, making sure it only lasted for 2 seconds. "Since you're a new student and it's almost the end of the school year, I'm sure you want to get to know the place." I nod a yes.

He shows me around the fricken gigantic place. Walking to every classroom, center, studio, the dining hall, library and other things I can't even remember. "And this, Katherine M. Elfers Hall, is where you'll be performing in a couple of days." His hands gesture to the whole room.

"A couple of days? Me? Performing?"

"Well I'll be dammed, she speaks." He chuckles making me laugh through the shocking news. "Yep, we heard your recital was canceled because Principal. Weatherbee and I - the music teacher, spoke about some arrangements." He's the music teacher?

"B-But, I'm not prepared." I stutter looking around the exquisite room. "I think you are Cleme- Miss. Wilson. Mrs. Young said you were a fantastic guitarist with a voice of an angel." "Guitar's my favorite too, so I can't wait to hear you play." Mr. Horan adds.

"Mr. Horan, I don't think my crappy guitar 'skills' are even good enough for this."

"Hey, don't say that. This may look big and fancy but all types of music is appreciated here. We have girls playing the harmonica or singing, playing the cello or playing the ukulele. Don't put yourself down. I bet you're great. Oh, and also, when we're alone you can just call me Niall. A friend of Zayn's is a friend of mine. Just not in front of the other girls, I don't want them to think of anything." He gives me a nice welcoming smile. "Okay, Niall."

"You're a bit early so let's go to the music stu and jam out before the girls start making their way to lessons." "Music studio?" I ask. "Yeah, stu for short." He's a pretty nice guy.

"I call this one Flicker. I wrote it not so long ago- oh god, you should hear the songs the lads and I used to write and sing back in high school." Niall pulls out his phone, scrolling through the screen, excited and full of energy. "So you're telling me you, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were in a band together with other kids at school?" I giggle.

"Not just kids, we were THE One Direction! Louis, Liam, Zayn, Harry and I. Girls went crazy!" Harry? "This ones called Little Things, kinda the start of the band era but here." He presses the play button, the song begins with a guitar.

Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me

"OH GOD IT'S ZAYN!" I scream knowing his soft, deep voice. Niall nods laughing at my reaction. We continue to listen, the smile on my face probably from ear to ear but this was something I could tease Zayn with. Why didn't he tell me he sang.. in a band?! "Wait, wait, my part is coming soon."

I know you've never loved the sound of your voice on tape
You never want to know how much you weigh
You still have to squeeze into your jeans
But you're perfect to meI won't let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if it's true, it's you, it's you, they add up to
I'm in love with you and all these little things

It was Harry. That deep husky voice. A voice that'll always kill me.

"It's me, it's me!" I hear Niall but my eyes continue to look down at his phone. My vision blurring with tears at the brim of my eyes. "Oh, f.uck." I hear him curse before turning off the music and offering me a box of tissues near him. "Thank you." I try to brush it off by laughing.

"Always keep it nearby, songs can hit people right in the heart, ya know." Niall scratches the back of his head and I nod. "S-sorry I just think it's a great song." I lie. He'll never know.

"...You don't have to try and cover up. I'm sorry I should've known you would.. get upset." "It's fine, M-Niall. It's an amazing song." I shake my head. "I'm sorry for what he did to you." He suddenly blurts, looking at me.

"Who?" I wipe my tears, clearly seeing his ocean eyes.
