It all starts with the Character chart.

In every new story I create, the very first part will be the character chart. You can also write your ideas there too.

In my character chart, I list all my characters and fill out everything about them. You'll need this information along the way when writing your stories.

Seems like a lot I know but trust me it will help a lot. And I include a pic of each character as well, if you are one to use muses. If you are the type of author who has your own idea of your character but allows your readers to imagine the characters as they wish, then that's fine too.
