Nick's POV

I walked out of the Principals office fuming by his 'little' proposition. I couldn't believe he expected me to earn my extra credit tutoring her. Rosalie Howards. Even the name made me scowl. As if the universe was against me I spotted here coming down the hall. I dashed passed her and spared one glance at my possible student. Student,I thought and mentally laughing. As if she would listen to a word I said.

She probably never even notice me. We'd had homeroom together since freshman year. You'd think she'd know who I was, but no she was too busy worrying about her latest hangover half the time. I don't know how the Principal expected me to help her pass Senior year. I headed to class, AP Language Arts. As soon as I sat down, Adrian asked me what was wrong. I probably radiated hostility from his look. I knew I was overreacting because it wasn't like I hated Rosalie. It was just getting the news today of all days, as if i wasn't already in a snappy mood.

Today would have been mine and Kelly's anniversary if she hadn't have dumped me. My brother had taken me out on Sunday to some club meaning to cheer me up but it didn't really work for me. Every girl there reminded me of Rosalie. Rosalie... Damn it! How in the hell did I go from Kelly to Rosalie?

Once class was over I headed to my next class now thinking about Kelly. She wasn't like most girls at this school. She was a bit too uptight sometimes but that was okay because we balanced each other.

All throughout my classes I was too preoccupied that even my teachers asked me what was wrong. It wasn't the norm for me to be dozing off in class or not know an answer. This time it wasn't because of Kelly but of Rosalie. I kept picturing how are tutoring would go. All scenarios weren't good.

Finally when lunch came around I had somehow come out of my stupor. I headed to get my food and looked around the cafeteria. It was half full and nosy. While looking around I managed to spot Rosalie. I wondered if the Principal had told her I was her tutor.

She had her feet propped up on one of the lunch benches and was wearing her signature black sunglasses. She was munching on an apple and had a rolled up peanut butter and jelly sand-which wrapper on her hand. She shot it into the nearby trashcan and made it, then went back to eating her apple. I had to admit she looked kind of hot like that. I mentally scolded myself for thinking that way about Rosalie.

I got my lunch and made my way towards the table where all my friends were. All throughout lunch I couldn't help but look in Rosalie's direction observing my future student. It seemed Stacey wasn't with her today. Still Rosalie didn't  seemed to radiate loneliness while  finishing her apple, damn her and that apple. She sat peacefully listening to her iPod, which she had sneakingly hid behind her jacket. She sang exceptionally loud and some of the people from the next table turned and looked at her.

She smiled sweetly and went back to singing. I couldn't help but laugh at her behavior some of my friends turned to look at me and I shrugged. Then it dawned on me, I was watching Rosalie like some creepy stalker. Watching her eat and sing and enjoying it. Something was definitely wrong with me.

Rosalie's POV

It was lunch and I was still trying to get over the fact Nick Jamison was going to be my tutor. Today was definitley not my day. I knew he wasn't a big fan of me so I wondered why he had accepted tutoring me. What if he planned to make my time with him a living hell. No, I thought even if he was a total douche at the mall I doubted he would make my life that hard.
