"Hi, Y/n. This is Mrs. Kenddle. I'm calling to tell you want you got for the play."
"Okay! So what's going on?"
"Could you be an understudy for Mary? If not you can play as one of the chimney sweeps."
"Sure! I can't wait to et started. The winter play was amazing."
"No arguments about that. You did a great job on the back up character. I can't wait for this production."
"Me too. See you at practice!"
"Yeah."
I hung up and immediately jumped for joy. I just love drama. With the line reading tommorrow, I'll be sure I make it. I wonder who I'm being a understudy for. Hmm.

--Skylar's PoV--
I just joined the drama club, and got the role of Mrs.Banks. I don't care much for drama, but the fact Y/n is in it, makes it more interesting. I apparently have a girl named Misty as a understudy. I believe she like to write, an draw. It doesn't matter I guess.
"Skylar?" A angel like voice called. I turned only to see the angle herself.
"Hey, Y/n." I smiled and waved at her. Since there was a circle of chairs, she sat to my right, as other piled in.
--your PoV--
I didn't know Skylar did drama. I thought she had to go to work. She did run from home with a lot of money in hand, but it would only cover her for a year of school, housing, and all the needs in a house.
"I thought you would go to work. You know Mrs. Grey is not forgiving when you are late."
"Well it is my day off. You should know her wrath. You have been fired for being late." She teased. Before I knew it, a script was in front of my face. I took it and saw a young boy smiling at me. He looks to be in elementary school.
"Hi! I'm Connor. Are you the understudy for Mary Poppins?" I nodded and the boy jumped around excited.
"I can't wait to work with you and Jessica! I don't know who Jane banks is but I just can't wait!" I laughed at the boy's eagerness and turned back to Skylar. A smile was shining on her face and it was quite contagious.
"All right, guys, gal and non-binary pals. Let's get started." Mrs. Kenddle said. (Kudos for all who know where that comes from)
We read over the lines, and science Jessica wasn't there, I got to read the lines. As much as I loved my friend Jessica, I was jealous she got the part. As we finished up, Skylar turned to me.
"You were amazing! You, know since I'm more of a manager person, I promise if you wish to follow this path I'll be your manager." She said with a smile. This was a bit overwhelming, and probably won't follow through, but it was sweet she would consider me.
"I'll keep your word on that, Sky." I winked and turned. It was rocket science to know the blue eyed girl was blushing.
--Time skip--
"Hello?"
"Hello. Is Mrs. Kenndle there?"
"This is her. Who is this."
"A person you once called a hidden shining star."
"Y/n! Oh my god it's you! How are you? How's the big life?" A smile grew on my face as I talked with my old teacher.
"Great. You are to thank though. I wouldn't have made it here with out you."
"I never got to ask, but how did you get a manager so fast?"
"I get a manager from a promise. A promise made at the beginning of a wonderful show."
We talked for hours, until a familiar voice called for me. We said our good byes, and I left to go to the person.
"Hey, Y/n. Good news! You got the part!" Skylar said cheerfully. I smiled and hugged my girlfriend of 1 year.
"Thank you for keeping your, promise." I said and nuzzled my cheek into her neck.
"You know how I am, babe. I owe you so much."
She was perfect. Or should I be like the character that made me shine? She is practically perfect.
