Every kit needs to know the ranks of a clan here I will explain the roles and names of this.

A leader is a warrior who is highest in the Clan Hierarchy. The leader is responsible for everything that goes on in a Clan.

They address the Clan and decided all the big designs. They will also be the cat to speak at the gatherings (Will talk about later) all cats looks towards them. The only way to become leader is if they were deputy before and StarClan has given their Leader name that ends with star for example: Emberstar.

A deputy is a warrior who is second in command to the leader, aiding them in their tasks and replacing them immediately after their death or retirement. Also, when the leader is ill or unable to perform their duties, the deputy will take the leader's place until they recover, and they will take their place at Gatherings if the leader is absent and cannot attend. They have to have trained an apprentice before they are chosen most of the time it is a cat the Leader believes will serve his/her clan until they are leader or die saving them.

Medicine Cats are Clan cats who treat diseases and injuries. They also receive and interpret omens and prophecies from StarClan. They are highly respected cats by all the Clans. They have a different bond to warriors who are hostile to the other Clan cats. Medicne cats will meet every Half moon See my Medicine cat Guide book for more info.

Warriors are adult Clan cats who feed and protect the Clan. Their duties are extremely important to the overall survival of the Clan. So they hunt. They also Patrol borders and train apprentices to become warriors. They share a den.

Apprentices are Clan cats six moons or older, training to be a warrior (or sometimes a medicine cat) under a mentor. All apprentices' names end with the suffix "-paw" (i.e., Frostpaw, Dawnpaw, Adderpaw) which symbolizes the path their paws are on, until they receive their warrior name. Most apprentices just have the suffix "-kit" taken off their name and replaced with "-paw", but in special cases, their name completely changes (i.e., Duskkit). An apprentice becomes a warrior once their mentor or Clan leader thinks they have learned enough. They train under a warrior and carry out duties like hunting for the Elders, cleaning the Elders bedding Searching for tick in Elders pelts.

A queen is a she-cat that is expecting or has recently given birth to a litter of kits. Though known to be overly-protective of kits, queens usually are compassionate and kind, and in many cases they have been known to convince their mates or Clan leaders to take in cats in need of help. They are to be fed before the Leader, Deputy Warriors or apprentices eat. They with their mate will name their kits and raise their kits until 6 moons where they are apprenticed.

An Elder is a Clan cat that has served their clan faithfully but has now retired/ They are wise and are held in a high respect by other cats; their counsel and knowledge is sought several times even by Clan leaders, though they are often described as grumpy. They do not have to catch their own food or fight, except to defend is necessary. They are the first to get fed.
