𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 !

II. who let the demons out

HISTORY .  { EXTENDED }

[ * even before being put to sleep by his twin sister, ezra was always born cursed. born to the phony consummation between qetsiyah & silas, ezra had always represented the symbol of ancient betrayal. and it didn't help that he'd been born on the other side, thus stepping into the world as a default abomination to nature & being hunted down by the spirits for what felt like eternity . eventually , he was found and told to leave the other side ++ warned to never return . he defied their warning to see his mother &. sister resulting in a magical brawl between ezra &. the spirits to which he lost . ezra then, had been fully cut off from the other side &. stripped of his witchy abilities . ezra is left alone in the vast nation of greece with a new heightened curse of enduring the taunts & rage of the spirit witches .

[ * following these events, ezra attempts to kill himself in order to reunite with his family . reluctantly, he is stopped by his sister, violetta  ( the other child of the living dead, whom is able to enter & leave the other side at will ) and reminds him that he will soon be needed as part of qetsiyah's plan to lure silas to the other side; ezra being dead wouldn't be much help to that plan. vio gives ezra momma's good ole immortality spell , sealing all possibilities of him dying. and giving him hope that we would see his mother & sister again .

[ * he pursues a life in greece, even having a daughter in which he loved dearly, and that love soon became the only distraction from his resentment towards the spirits ++ his dread of losing his magic as he teaches her how the magic of her own. ezra was never taught to hide his usage of magic from the public ( due to being raised on the other side ) so he never thought to teach it to his daughter. ezra's home in greece had been invaded by townsfolk to which ezra later realizes are travelers who'd spotted his daughter, cassiopeia using magic in the public, &. with the war between the travelers & witches brewing, cassie being a witch meant they instantly hated her. they took her young age as an advantage and tried to kill her, reluctantly, ezra's rage begins to form into power, enabling him to unlock a new found power in him never seen before. ( which will later be known as expression ) ezra is able to kill the host bodies of the travelers but with this new found power that no witch in history has ever utilized, and drawing from multitudes of darkness without the ability to control it, ezra ends up killing his daughter as well .

[ * ezra's rage & madness is sent into overdrive after the death of his daughter at his hand. and rather than blaming himself, he fully blames the witches of the other side ( excluding his mom and sis ofc ). the new magic unlocked in ezra begins to form a personality of its own , slowly twisting & molding him into a completely different person . he begins terrorizing all of the village as he plunges further and further into darkness . gaining more and more attention & not even bothering to acknowledge the ongoing voices of the spirts ( who were now at their apex ) , ezra becomes known as the dark witch , darkness innately growing and growing in place of his native magic . a concerned & alarmed vio makes another return in attempts of coercing her brother back to sanity . these attempts fail as this magic takes over his psyche and he battles his own sister . out of options, vio uses a spell to desiccate ezra &. put him to sleep , and hides him in a confidential place somewhere on the island of crete .

[ * centuries later, after qetsiyah's return to the living and silas' revival, violetta awakens ezra who's darker self seems to be subdued. the two figure that the 'silas plan' as they called it was in full swing. although a few courses change, the goal seemed to be achieved as both silas & amara die ( plus his mother ) AND the other side continues to stand. one would think that ezra is ready to call it quits and return to his home realm. although two problems stand in the way, he can't die due to him being immortal, and in / perfect / timing, ezra's dark tendencies begin to resurface . this could pose to be a problem for all of the world if his magic fully takes over his body ( though he tries his HARDEST not to believe it ) . but at the same time , if he does indeed die , he doesn't know what will happen with the expression magic still inside him and he fears the worst ( his good side fears the worst at least ) . he doesn't tell ANYONE (not even vio) this fear and now roams the earth in attempts of controlling himself and trying not to fold to his own power .
