Durkrasia is home to clan Voldristair, situated along the fringes of the western Splinterbacks. The surrounding forest and crags provide natural protection from the otherwise harsh elements, though a large majority of their territory has been mysteriously untouched by the frosts that plague Asterim. As if by magic. Crops thrive within their territory and the forests thrive with game unseen by land south of the mountains.

The Clan
Clan Voldrastair is the most prevalent and dangerous of the Northern Clans. They govern the territory north east of Asterim. Most notably, the Splinterback mountains. There, they hunt bears and direwolves among the foothills, but some rumors suggest that they themselves are able to take beast forms. Whatever the case, the clan is a tight-knit community that is wary and often hostile toward outsiders. Their leader, however, has shown generosity to those who come offering peace and respect.
While little is known about their culture do to the remote nature of their settlement, they are known to worship their own unique set of nature gods. They are a fierce and durable people, with most members exceeding six and a half feet in height. Hair color ranges from near-white, to a rich dark blond and their skin is fair. Darker complexions or hair are rare among the clan and often hint toward genetics brought from outside the clan. They have been known to breed with nonhumans in the past such as fae or sidhe.
It is tradition for men to keep their hair long, whether they keep it free or bind it in braids. They are as fierce as they are large, with most males reaching up to seven feet tall. Little is known of their women.
