Magnus's POV:

Its been five days since I've seen or heard from Alec, I was currently in bed, staring up at the ceiling, and wearing one of his dark shirts. The shirt smelled like him and it helped me sleep at night. I tried every tracking spell I could find, short of using Jace's parabatai rune, I knew it was dangerous. I am going to head to the institute again today to see if there have been any sign of the dark haired shadowhunter but right now, I just wanted to gather my thoughts.

I tried using sweaters, his bow, boots, his leather jacket, even a strand of hair I found on his pillow but still nothing. I have contacted every downworlder I could trust with the information, telling them to call me the minute they see any sign of the shadowhunter. My phone hasn't rung once and I was running out of options.

I took a breath before getting up and heading to the bathroom, deciding to take a quick shower before leaving. As the warm water hit my skin, my mind started to drift to my Alexander again. Is he okay? Is he hurt? Is he cold? I couldn't stand not knowing. I pulled the curtain back and got dressed quickly before portaling to the institute.

Everyone was already in the library, Izzy and Jace were scanning over countless maps and diagrams of New York, Clary and Simon were going over their contacts - downworlder and shadowhunter - the only one missing was that new girl Regina. She has stayed even after finishing her report because she wanted to help us find Alec. Everytime she was around though, I could feel her glare even from across the room.

"Anything?" I asked as I walked in and away from the door. I was wearing another one of Alec's shirts, dark jeans and boots. Everyone looked up at me with sad faces.

"We have tried almost every spell for tracking, we can't find him. He might have his anti tracking rune on, if he does then he is either in a lot of trouble or just wants to be left alone." Jace explained.

"Clary and I called everyone we know, even her mom and Luke, who has his pack looking for him as well, still nothing." Simon put in with a groan.

Jace slammed his fist down on the table in anger, getting all of our attention. "We will find him, we have to find him, we need him, I need..." Jace stopped when Clary walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. The blonde shadowhunter visibly relaxed into her touch.

I ran my fingers through my hair, wracking my brain for anything or anyone that we still haven't asked. The Clave wasn't any help either, too busy with anything else to send help. That wasn't very surprising to be honest.

"Where's Regina?" I questioned. Everyone shrugged.

"Last I heard, she went to the kitchen for something to eat." Izzy pointed out.

"I'll go get her." I said and walked off. I just needed my mind to drift again, just for a second, maybe I can figure something out that way.

Once I got to the kitchen, the lights were all off and there was no sign of the new shadowhunter anywhere. I notched an eyebrow and went searching for her. The training room's door was cracked open so I peaked inside, finding Regina practicing with a bow and arrows. She missed the center of the target though and it instantly made me think of Alec, how he never missed a shot.

"Its better if you straighten your back you know." I said from the door way.

She jumped slightly before turning to me. "Oh Magnus, you startled me."

I shot her a smile, which she returned. "Sorry."

"Where's everyone else?" She questioned, putting the bow back on the wall, her back to me.

"Library still looking." I informed her.

She hummed a response, picking up a shortsword from the wall and a dagger. "So we are alone then?"

"Yeah why?" I asked her, honestly curious.

"No reason." She said before turning around quickly and before I knew it, the dagger she took off the wall was in my shoulder, inches where my heart would be.

I yelled out in pain and fell to the ground, pulling the dagger out. "What the hell Regina!"

"You get rid of the spell you have on him or I will tear you to ribbons." She growled, coming toward me and putting her sword on my neck.

"What spell?! On who?!" I yelled out, hoping someone would hear.

"The love spell you have on Alec, you stupid warlock!" She shouted.

"You know where Alec is?"

"Of course I do! Im trying to get rid of the damn spell you casted on him years ago, on the day you met. He can be happy that way, he can be with a woman like he is suppose to be. Not some halfbreed guy with stupid hair." She admitted, a smile planted on her face, she looked sinister.

When I heard that, I lost control. The glamour went down on my eyes and I shot an energy ball straight at her, hitting her stomach and making her go flying to the other side of the training room.

"Where is he!" I shouted.

She just laughed and swung her sword at me. I dodged it then snapped my fingers, making the hilt burn red hot. She screamed as it burned her hands before dropping the sword on the ground.

I wrapped my fingers around her neck and lifted her off the ground, using my full strength and height as an advantage.

"Where is he?" I growled, gritting my teeth and bringing her closer.

"Fuck you." She forced out as the training room doors opened.

Izzy and Jace ran in followed by Clary and Simon. I could hear them calling my name but I wasn't listening, I didn't want to put her down, I wanted Alec back. The only thing I was aware of was the stinging of the wound on my shoulder and her pulse slowly weakening on my fingers.

Yeah I would not like to be on the receiving end of Magnus' magic. Especially when he is pissed off. He is 400+ years old, you really think he won't know how to defend himself without magic? Come on Regina😉

Alright I'll post another part soon
Hope you like how it is going so far.

Love you!
