Rhys POV
...

I dressed in a warm dress with leggings underneath and scarf before grabbing my things after doing my makeup. I walk down the stairs to see my sister and Wade having a conversation.

"That's dumb." He rolls his eyes smiling down at her.

"That's what I said!" She exclaims throwing her hands in the air. "So, you think you could pick me up?" She asks.

"Of course." He assures her. "By the way, Morgan is not the only one who owns sponge bob underwear." He winks at her. She lets out a loud laugh and shakes her head.

"I'm going to forever tease him of that." She smiles at him.

"If he ever—EVER—gives you problems, come to me. Okay? I'll always be here." He tells her kindly.

"Of course, I need big ole bad way doing my dirty work." She punches his on the shoulder weakly. He rolls his eyes and then looks at me who is standing by the stairs waiting to go.

"Bye, Daya, have a good one." He smiles once more before heading toward me. "Good morning." He says with a sweet smile that could melt a heart of ice.

"M-morning." I blush. He smirks, but turns his head so I don't catch it, but I did. "Bye Daya!" I calls. She says bye back and we head out to his car.

He opens the door for me before going over to his side and starts up the car. He doesn't say anything as he navigates his way toward the school.

"So you and my sister are pretty close?" I ask trying not to sound to curios.

"To an extent. We talk from time to time. Nothing to extravagant." Was his reply. I glance down to his body, he has a tight black shirt on with dark blue jeans along with Timberland boots on his feet. "If you take a picture—"

"It will last longer. Yeah, yeah, I already know." I finish but he shakes his head.

"That's not what I was going to say." He smirks. "I was going to say; if you take a picture you could make me famous. Let's face it; I'm working these Timberlands." He nods toward his feet.

"Oh." I feel my cheeks heat. He throws me a gorgeous smile before turning back toward the road. "What did you get a tattoo of?" I ask remembering that he told me last night. He glances over at me with agony in his eyes.

"It's a Heart, a real looking one, and it says forgotten." He whispers. But before I can say anything he speaks again with more enthusiasm. "Well, we are here! Have a good day!" He smiles at my brightly, but I could still see the sadness in his eyes. "If anyone gives you trouble, you tell me." He says seriously.

"Thanks and okay." I say stepping out of his car. "Hope you find a good apartment. See you later?" I ask. He shrugs his shoulders.

"I'll never stay away too long." He winks and then I shut the door. He pulls away swiftly and I watch as he goes until I feel a tap on my shoulder which sends me jumping.

"Oh, Rhys, Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you!" Noah says. I breathe a sigh of relief and then turn towards him. "C-can I hug you? Maybe?" He asks. I nod my head and he engulfs me in a hug. "I love you so much. You know that?" He asks.

"Of course. I love you too." I squeeze him back even know I'm tense from the contact.

...

I didn't have any of my main friends in my third hour so I ended up sitting by some random guy named James. He smiled politely at me and I smiled back. The lecture seemed like it wouldn't stop before she gave us our work.
