3rd person POV
~~~
Ja'far shuffled through some scrolls as he made his way through the hallways of the palace to Sinbad's office. "Honestly, I can't believe he keeps trying to sneak his work into mine." An angry tick made itself evident on his face as he spoke to himself.
Along the way, he passed by __y/n__'s room. The moment his foot landed on the ground directly out the front of her door, a muffled groaning sound could be heard from the other side. Ja'far stopped in his tracks and listened. When his ears were met with nothing but silence, he shrugged it off as simply his imagination and continued on his way, but he was only able to take three steps before hearing it again, only this time it was much clearer and definitely masculine.
He backed up and pressed his ear against the door so that he could hear better. The sound of something banging against something else and what sounded like furniture being scraped across the ground could be heard from inside. At first Ja'far was left more confused, but after his brain went through all the possible explanations, he came to the conclusion that __y/n__ must simply be redecorating her room and asked for someone to help. He pulled away from the door and at the very same moment heard __y/n__'s voice. "Come on, Sharrkan! Move faster! Hit harder!" She basically screamed.
Ja'far dropped all the scrolls he was holding and swiftly pressed his ear back up against the wooden surface, listening much more intently than he was previously. "I'm trying! This is the fastest I've ever moved in my life!" The well-known voice of Sharrkan spoke back.
"Hurry! It's getting closer!" __y/n__ cried.
"I know! I know!" More banging echoed through the door, eventually followed by glass shattering and __y/n__ groaning.
"Sharrkan! You got my juice all over me..."
"S-sorry, __y/n__. I didn't realise you were so close." Deciding enough was enough and fearing the worst, Ja'far threw the door open furiously, but what he saw before him wasn't nearly as bad as what he had imagined.
The room was a mess. Bedding and small room decorations covered the floor like they had been thrown purely for the sake of being untidy and the bed itself was on the opposite side of the room from where it had once been. __y/n__ and Sharrkan were both standing in the middle of the room, frozen like statues and clearly surprised by Ja'far's sudden arrival. __y/n__ was covered in some sort of liquid. Most importantly, however, they were both fully clothed.
"Oh, um, hi Ja'far," __y/n__ waved meekly. "Is something wrong?"
Ja'far stayed silent for a moment before speaking. "What were you two doing?" He asked, trying not to let either of the two know that he was eavesdropping.
"I was trying to help __y/n__ get rid of a spider. The little bastard's fast, that's for sure. I've been chasing it all over the room and every single time I go to hit it, it runs off at super speed! Can you believe that?" Sharrkan sighed frustratedly, annoyed that he was being outdone by a simple spider.
"And the... Mess?" Ja'far looked at __y/n__ as he spoke, specifically the mystery substance staining her clothes.
__y/n__ looked down at herself and laughed sheepishly. "That was my fault. I had a glass of juice in my hands and Sharrkan accidentally knocked it all over me when I was standing too close behind him. The glass got smashed, too," She gestured towards the shards of broken glass scattered across the floor, barely missing her feet. "As for the state of my room, it's just kind of an aftershock of the chase, I guess."
