Everybody in the courtroom stood up and Bokuto could feel his heart going crazy already.

This was bullshit, this was preposterous! And most importantly, THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN, like ever. He, a respectful and active citizen, well more like immigrant, but it's been a few years, of The United States of America was standing in front a judge while trembling like a little leaf in the wind.

He was innocent, as innocent as a newborn baby who hasn't done anything wrong, he couldn't hurt a fly, he was afraid of blood, he was more innocent than the "virgin" Mary, but between you and me - she just probably had some fun with her neighbours and then claimed it was the holy spirit, yeah right, tell that to someone else.

Bokuto could feel his knees getting weak, he was scared, he was afraid, he was going through all possible scenarios in his head - Why? How? When?

And you wanna know why he wad feeling like that? Imagine being accused of like 20 murders, being accused because some bitch ass cop found your DNA at the crime scene. He found a sock. Why did he find a sock? WHAT WAS BOKUTO'S SOCK DOING THERE?

Bokuto couldn't hear what was happening, his mind had completely shut down, all that he could think off was "How do I prove them I'm innocent?".

Were they targeting him because he wasn't a pureblood American born from the ashes of bacon and guns? (No offense, I love y'all, please don't curse at me). Were they targeting him because he was asian, an immigrant who had been living in USA for quite a few years now?

Why. Why. Why.

He didn't even have time to get an attorney. The government, or whatever does that, hired one for him. Will he be nice? Will he accept Bokuto's story?

Maybe... just maybe...he will believe him completely..

Bokuto felt a light tap in his shoulder, at that momenr he almost screamed. He turned his head to see a familiar face, those dark eyes staring back at him...and a reassuring smile.

"A-Akaashi?" He asked in disbelief as he stared at his friend, best friend.

"Do you really think I would have left you with some other attorney? I'm your friend, I'm here for you... I believe in you. I know you're afraid of blood, that's one of our crucial pieces of evidence, Bokuto" Akaashi put his hand on Bokuto's shoulder.

And yet, Bokuto couldn't help but doubt his words. Did he really believe he was innocent? Maybe Akaashi was just pretending in order to calm him down..

Bokuto glanced at the jury, so many people... Young, old, students, teachers, engineers, strippers... will Akaashi be able to change their minds? Will he be able to present Bokuto as an innocent human being with no intentions hurt anyone?

He glanced at another side of the courtroom. The apparent victim aka the only one who didn't get murdered was sitting in their seat, fiddling their fingers while telling their lawyer something..

He looked behind him to see a row on witnesses, they all smiled at Bokuto before continuing their small chitchat.

Ah, what kind of situation has Bokuto got himself into?

Soooooo, here's the prologue for you. I'm actually really excited about this fic as it is the new book in the "-cal" series.

Quick note for those who haven't read Chimerical or Enigmatical - "-cal" series is a series of books, not related to eachother, with little romance but a shit load of mindfuck and/or mystery.

This time it's BokuAka.

Hope you're all just as excited as me.
