Poetry You Write

You can write all day long
About the person you want to be
The things you wish were different
Things you wish you were smart enough to achieve.

And I know that you wish you weren't awkward
That sweet words could just roll off of your tongue
But you are not the poetry you write

And I know you wish you could be like everyone else
That you didn't stick out in a crowded room
But you are not the poetry you write

I know you wish you looked different
Fix a few things here and there
You write and write about the image you wish to be

But little do you know..
Someone out there writes about you
Wishing to look like you
you may not be your own poetry
But you are a fantasy.
