No toleration

As I threw the beer in the trash I looked at Ame.

His nose was scrunched up, and he seemed to be looking at something in specific.

I followed his line of sight to dry blood stains.

That's when it hit me. I looked at my mother, who was biting her bottom lip uncomfortably, knowing what I had seen.

I rushed to her and gave her my biggest hug. Tears threatened to fall down my face, and I had the urge to do something.

I didn't know what I needed to do at the time, but I had to do something.

I pulled away. That's when I noticed the gashes on her arms. There was also a fresh scar on her neck, somewhat close to her ear.

I let loose. I started to spill my tears. Me and my mother collapsed to the ground, hugging each other and crying.

I glanced at Ame who was looking at my father.

" Miss Hamada, I refuse to let you stay here for any longer. What has caused the... aggressiveness, of your husband.

My mother cupped my face and looked at me straight in the eyes.

" He's a good one" she said with a smile. I didn't understand where she was coming from.

"Mom, follow me, let's go to the mountains. I have good studies and close friends there. The open forest is lovely. Miss Hana will also take care of you and... the gashes." I said, almost crying again.

Suddenly my father sat up. I dried my tears quickly and stood up. I looked at him.

He got up and stared at me.

" Juno?" He asked. I nod in response as he moves a step closer.

In a way, I want to go up to him and hug him. He had been everything to me as a child.

I walked up to him and he caressed my face, but that wasn't all. He took it away and then he slapped me right across my cheek.

I grabbed the heated area, not wanting to look at him.

He got real close and started yelling. "you bitch!! You went and left us and then brought back a boy!!! If I find out he did it with you, or if he even kissed you I will kill him, and then you!!!" He said.

That's when the wolf blurred my vision again, but I didn't transform. "At least I'm home! And for your information, he's my nothing! He didn't touch me and I should at least receive a hug!" I yelled back.

He pulled his hand back again to hit me.

I closed my eyes to await the hit... but it never came. I looked up to see Ame grabbing his arm. The stares they were giving one another was enough to send me a few steps back.

" if you raise your voice with her one more time sir... and I will be sure to call the cops, and if you try and raise your hand, I will take care of you myself!" He threatens.

I shiver slightly at the threat.

Ame let's go and comes to me, pulling me close, listening to my soft cries.

" You never deserved them. They are too kind!" He said. That's when he pulled me to where my mother was, with an arm around my shoulders.

He took the other hand and pulled my mother to the door. He unlocked it and took us both down the stairs and out the front steps on the apartment.

He looked from both.switching from looking at me and my mother. " Mrs. Hamada... I can't tolerate this, I will have to take you somewhere safe. If it's alright with you, I'd love for it to be with me my sister and I in the mountains, where it's far from here."

He took a pause. " It may be very far from here, but we can get there by tomorrow morning." He said. My mother turned me around to look at her.

" Juno?" She said. I lifted my eyes to look at her and nodded.

" they are wonderful people" I say. She nods in response and we both turn to Ame. He nods.
