I rushed into the hospital, my white coat flailing over my arm.

"Addison," Doctor Mayer nodded.

"What's the verdict Donovan?"

"She tried to commit suicide with your pen Addison,"

"What? She didn't take my pen,"

"In your notes you addressed that Lucinda Kingsley strangled you,"

"Yes? But she had both her hands on my neck?"

"Somehow she managed to get your pen Addison," I shook my head in disbelief.

"The police scanned the pen for any fingerprints and found yours. They are doing an investigation,"

"For what? They think I tried to kill her?"

"It's a possibility,"

"Donovan look at the security tapes! I didn't do it,"

"I'll take it from here Doctor Mayer," an officer nodded.

"I'm officer Finely and I'm running the case that states you tried to kill Mrs Lucinda Kingsley,"

"I didn't kill her,"

"Come, let's talk in private Doctor Wilcox," she smiled guiding me towards the conference room.

"So where did you go after your visit to Lucinda Kingsleys room?" She asked, tucking a loose brown hair behind her ear.

"I filed my report in her patient file in the office," she nodded and wrote what I said.

"And what happened then?"

"I went and saw another patient,"

"Which patient?"

"Mr Bason Jones,"

"And why is he in here?"

"I'm afraid that's confidential officer, I can't tell you about the patient,"

"Fair enough, but I have already accessed the file Jones, so please tell me,"

"He is in for a dislocated femur with a compound fracture,"

"And your shift finished at 3:30pm after seeing Mr Jones correct?"

"Yes,"

"I don't think you tried to kill Mrs Kingsley Doctor Wilcox, but we must think of all the possibilities,"

"I understand,"

"So you said for your colleague to check the security footage?"

"Yes, there's a camera outside Mrs Kingsleys room and one inside,"

"And you believe this will tell us what happened?"

"Yes officer," she smiled softly. Her green eyes scanned over me.

"We have read her file and have seen that she has a daughter, Jaycee Kingsley, who was admitted here not long ago, correct?"

"Yes,"

"What is your relationship with Miss Kingsley?"

"Friends,"

"Okay. Well Dr Wilcox, I will let you go to work, and I will make sure my colleagues overlook your request of security footage although they should've looked through them already,"

"Thank you,"

"Oh and we will be notifying Miss Kingsley about her mother,"

"Okay," I sighed, knowing that this isn't going to go well.
