I kept on staring deeply into Dusty's eyes while his owner came shouting.

"Dusty! Who did you attack now?!"

I was unfazed by the yelling. All I could think was: Am I really having a staring contest with a dog??

"Sorry about that. He-"

Lake was cut off by surprise when I peeked my head around his dog.

"Tammie?"

The labrador backed up when I awkwardly hosted myself off the ground. I wiped the slobber from my face and said, "I guess the saying "drool worthy" is literal when it comes to Dusty."

Lake laughed at my joke. After his chuckles died off, he composed himself and turned serious. "I'm really sorry. Again."

"No worries." I honestly didn't care. It's not like his dog tries to eat me.

"So whatcha doing? I see papers on the ground."

I spun around and glanced at my feet. "Oh those! I'm running errands for my mom. I'm actually trying to find my mom's co-workers house so I can give them these documents."

''Sounds super fun."

"If you call fun being chased by a small angry Chinese man, then yeah. This is loads of fun."

Lake gave me this weird look as if he was trying to figure out if I was stating the truth or not. All I can say is I hope we don't have a repeat of that disastrous episode. Note to self: Recommend different cleaners for my mom.

I was thinking of something else to say to deviate from my weird outburst when my eyes noticed something in Lake's hand. It was round and orange. Similar to the yellow death thing that almost rammed me in the face. "I have your other frisbee. You left it at the park."

Lake smiled as he recalled. "Yeah, that's okay. I have plenty of others because Dusty chews through them pretty fast."

"Ahh, well I'll just keep it as a souvenir."

I bent over and collected my things off the sidewalk and checked the address of the house because couldn't remember it. I might as well get this done while I'm over here.

4567 Delphine St.

I was on Delphine already. I looked up to the nearest house and saw I was directly in front of the place that I needed.

"Well, this is my stop." I gestured to the red bricked and dark gray shingled house.

Lake laughed unexpectedly. I looked at him like he just announced he believed in aliens.

"Is it something I said?" I questioned.

He started talking after he calmed down. "Actually yes. That's my house. Have you been stalking me lately?"

If you forgot already, when I first met Lake we accused each other of being stalkers.

"No!" I said a little too defensively. I seriously don't stalk him though. I didn't even know this was his house.

''I was joking, Tammie. You can come in if you like."

He already made a move for his house leaving me no choice but to follow him up the path to his front door. On the left corner of his lawn was a dog house big enough to occupy a medium sized canine. On the right, or rather spewed across the entire front yard and driveway were children toys. The assortment ranged from a pink tricycle, to barbie dolls.

As we entered the residence a bunch of noises filled my ears. One particularly.

"Lakey!!!" The voice was small and shrill. It sounded like it belonged to a little girl.
