Padawan Lost ~ AU (1st Installment of the Padawan Series)

Chapter 4

When I got to the Library, Madam Jocasta helped me look into the records of the Clone Wars, even though they were still taking place. When Madam Jocasta was satisfied I knew what I was doing, she left and I entered a new search title.

Ahsoka

One result. I clicked on it. "Padawan Andora," I heard Master Kenobi say over the comlink. Blast it!

"Yes Master Kenobi?" I asked through the comlink.

"You are needed in the War Room." I jumped up from my chair and ran out of the Library, careful not to keep my Master waiting. I would find out who this Ahsoka girl was, but that would have to wait.

I sped down the halls of the Jedi Temple and finally reached the door to the War Room. I regained some of my breath before the door opened and I walked inside to meet my Master.

"Master Kenobi," I said as I entered, "you called for me?" He nodded.

"Have your studies treated you well?" I nodded slightly. "Good," He said and pulled up a hologram of a structure.

"This is a new Separatist outpost on Shili."

"Wait, Shili is under Republic control." I interrupted.

"Yes, it is. Now I will finish." Master gave me a disproving look and I turned my head away, embarrassed. "It is only a small outpost, but it has enough weapons that the Togruta tribe cannot crush it themselves. The Council is sending troops, you, my old Padawan and I as reinforcements. We leave at sundown. Be ready Andora."

"Yes, Master," I said.

"Meet me at the supply ship loading docks at sundown, but for now, you are dismissed." I nodded and walked out.

My first Jedi mission! I was so excited, but first, I wanted to finish what I started and find out who these Ahsoka girl was.

I walked back into the Library, to where I was sitting before and sat down. I began my unfinished search through the archive databases. My search I had entered before was still registered. I clicked on the only result the databases were showing.

Ahsoka Tano.

That one name held so much. I was determined to find the answers. I looked over the information the database had given me. The information handed to me was miniscule. Three words to be exact. Expelled, Reinstated, Departed. That was helpful. I called over Madam Jocasta to see if she remembered this so called Ahsoka.

"Madam Jocasta, does the name, Ahsoka Tano, sounds familiar?" I asked.

She looked at me curiously. "That is a conversation you should have with your master child."

I looked outside. The sun was quickly setting. Blast it! I had to meet Master in minutes at the loading docks for Republic supply ships.

"Thank you Madam Jocasta, I must be going." I got up and ran out the doors.

I ran as fast as I could to the docks. I soon found a Republic cruiser waiting there. Master was outside of it.

"Master Kenobi," I said as I ran up to him.

"Ah, Andora, right on time... let us go to Shili."

I nodded and boarded the cruiser. Master Kenobi and I stood patiently at the bridge as we made our jump to Hyperspace. I was intrigued enough to ask Master, but I had already questioned him about this mysterious Ahsoka. I decided to leave it quiet.

"We should be arriving to Shili shortly." I turned and saw a brunette boy with a scar on his eye extending down his face. His voice sounded like the voice that called Master Kenobi to the War Room earlier today.

"Who is this?" He said, nodding at me.

"Padawan Andora... it's a pleasure to meet you!" I said and stuck out my hand, beckoning him to shake it. He snorted, shook my hand and rolled his eyes.

"Anakin, be nicer, would you?" I heard Master Kenobi whisper. Anakin.

"You are Master Skywalker?" I asked. He turned and held out his hands.

"In the flesh and blood," He said and I made a contorted expression, "What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing... it's just... I pictured you more... well... less boyish." Master Obi-Wan was trying to suppress laughter. I smiled.

"I don't think boys carry lightsabers." He said.

"Enough Andora. Anakin, be more mature." Anakin sighed and put his lightsaber away.

"She started it."

"I cannot help she is correct and snippy." Master Obi-Wan looked as if his words just killed someone.

Anakin perked his head up and looked at Obi-Wan, shaking his head. "No one is snippy. Only Snips can be called that. Don't you ever call this Padawan snippy again!" Anakin pointed his finger towards Master Obi-Wan's throat. I gasped and Anakin stormed off, pushing past me.

Once he was out of earshot I looked at Master Kenobi. "Master, what was that all about?"

"Andora, you have a place here, do not over step your bounds." I put my head down and went back to my thoughts. This was going to be a long mission.
