"I don't want to leave," I told Louis. I bit my lip, thinking of how Jeff would react to our return.

"We have to at some point. We already blew off the signing," he pointed out. I sighed and nodded.

"He's going to yell."

"He's always yelling. Trust me, we'll be fine."

"Cara, can I speak to you?" Harry butted in harshly. I looked at Louis, then back to Harry, then nodded and Louis stepped back out the window to stand on the fire escape.

"You're not leaving until I know everything. And I mean everything, Cara. You can't be keeping these secrets from me when we're in this...this situation. Tell me every single fucking detail that I need to know, right now, or I swear I'll hang out with Marcus every single day from this moment on."

I smirked. "One kiss wasn't enough, was it?"

He glared at me in return and clenched his hands into fists. "You...you're ruining me..."

"I'm ruining you?"

"Yes. You're ruining my life. Now, please, I've had a long ass day. The sooner you tell me everything, the sooner you can leave so I can sleep."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms. "You're rude."

"And you're annoying. Don't cross your arms like that, or roll your eyes. I don't do that. Haven't we been over this?"

I frowned. "Maybe I should just let you figure it all out for yourself."

I took a step toward the window to join Louis, but he grabbed my wrist. "Cara..."

"Fine," I grumbled, knowing he would surely ruin my entire life if I made him figure it all out for himself. "I don't know where to begin."

"Well, how about we start with relationships since you deliberately kept Marcus out of your life story." I ignored the look he was giving me as I began telling him everything.

"I've had one boyfriend before. Sort of. It lasted through most of my freshman year of high school, but we broke up." I shuddered at the thought.

"Why?"

I sighed in hesitation. I really do have to tell him everything.

"It...it was mutual," I lied. "We just...didn't like each other anymore, I guess. I don't really know what happened with us."

Everyone in my life knows not to mention Dean. He shouldn't be coming up in conversation anyway. Harry doesn't need to know the truth. No one does.

"What was his name?" I could tell he saw right through my bullshit, but he didn't question me. Yet.

"Dean."

"Who broke up with who?"

"I broke up with him..." Technically, that wasn't a lie. After what he did, he never broke up with me. He just knew things were over. The words didn't even really need to be said. Granted, he did offer me a weak and insincere apology, and I told him to fuck off. I guess that qualifies as ending things.

"What happened?" He rolled his eyes, probably irritated that I was feeding him the information piece by piece instead of just explaining the whole situation. I hadn't talked about it in so long. Everyone just knew not to speak of it. I cried every time, but I didn't want to cry in front of Harry.

"He...I..."

He sighed and leaned back, expecting a waterworks show probably.

"Are you about to get emotional?" he asked me.
