"Stop following me." I say as I turn right.

"I'm not!" my annoying classmate Kendall states.

"So you happen to go the exact same route as I am?' I state as I stop and turn to him.

"I actually do, yes." he says a bit irritated.

I cross my arms, "And why is that?"

"Because my best friend lives this way." he says.

I roll my eyes and walk further.

Kendall follows me again and I can't take this anymore.

I stop and wait for him.

"What?" he asks as I look at him.

"If we're going in the same direction we might as well walk together." I state.

He shrugs, "Sure."

"You don't like me, do you?" Kendall suddenly asks as we're halfway dow the road.

I shrug, "You're not exactly the most decent student in class."

"So you hate me?" he asks again.

"I never said that. '' I say quickly.

"So you like me?" he tries.

I sigh, "Also never said that."

Kendall starts telling me about his family, pets, ambitions and hobbies.

I don't know why he does that but I'm fine with it.

"Why'd you tell me all of this?' I ask when he finished talking.

He shrugs, "I guess because you're the only one who actually took the time to listen to me."

"What about your friends then?" I ask politely.

"They only care about acting cool, you know that." he says.

I nod.

"Which house does your best friend live?" I continue asking.

"Number 35." Kendall replies with a smile.

I smile, "Oh Dustin's your friend?"

Kendall nods, "Yes! How do you know him? He's not in our year."

"He's my neighbor, I live on number 33. I know him since forever! How come I never saw you there?" I answer.

"He usually comes over at my place and if I ever go there, we kinda always head to the park anyways." he replies.

We walk to Dustin's house and before Kendall knocks on the door he turns to me.

"Would you, maybe, like to hang out some time?" he nervously asks.

"I blush and smile, "I'd love to."
