I feel warm strong arms wrap around my body and pull me close.  I gentle hand stroking down my hair.

"Cass... That will never happen." He tilts my head so that I'm looking at him, so that I can see the sincerity in his eyes.  "Hear me, never." The sobs continue raking my body, so he just holds me close.  He holds me until I back out.

"Why is Cass still here?" The words take a while to register in my brain, and once they do, I'm too tired to make any meaning out of them.

"She had a rough night, let her sleep, Hannah."  I hear footsteps coming closer. My head hurts, and when the room is flooded with light from the hallway, I turn away as quickly as I can.  The door quickly shuts, flooding the room with darkness again.  I feel someone sitting down on the edge of the bed.  I open my eyes and see Mike.  He starts slowly stroking my hair.  A small whimper escapes from my mouth.  Het stops, realizing I'm awake.  He bends down and kisses me on the forehead.

"Good morning." I whimper again, pulling myself into a tighter ball.  I close my eyes, and he resumes his slow stroking of my hair.

I slowly fall back to sleep.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I wake up again, Mike is still next to me. I sigh and sit up.  Mike smiles at me warmly.  I scooch over closer to him on the bed and give him a hug.  We hug for a while before we stand up and walk into the kitchen.

Cassandra is sitting at the island along with Hannah.  Hannah smiles at me when I walk in, then runs over to me and hugs me.  When she lets go, I look over at Cassandra.  She has a sad look on her face, I look I have never seen on her before.  I my heart breaks when I realize that I am probably the reason for her pain.  A car honks, and Hannah leaves.  I sit down at the island next to Cassandra.

"I'm sorry, Cassandra.  I never meant for this to happen."  She sighs.

"I know, Cassidy.  I just remember how hard it was for me to raise Mike by myself.  I don't want you going in the same downward spiral I did." I frown and look away, trying to keep from crying.  Mike sits down beside me and rests his hand on my shoulder.  "Hey, Cassidy?"  I look back up at Cassandra.  Her face is a little less ad.

"Yes?"

"Do you know if you have to stay in Florida? Or can you move?"  A huge smile crosses my face as the realization of what she is saying hits me.

"I don't know for sure, but I will find out.  I would love to move back to DC." A small smile comes to Cassandra's lips.

"I call Sargent Wellsworth for you and find out."  I laugh.  "What's so funny?"

"It's funny that you know his name, and I can't even tell you what sound his name starts with." Cassandra begins to laugh, and soon Mike joins in.
