Yugi's POV

"So we beat the big guy. Now we can all go back to the palace and have a meal," says Joey. "It's not that simple Joey. Now that we've won, they have to go back," says Marik. "Yugi," he says and gives me a small smile. "I wish we could have spent more time together," I say. "I know you do, but you heard what was said. We have to go back," says Atem. "But what about that choice that was mentioned," asks Seth.  "I don't know. We'll have to find out when we get there. I have a feeling that we can't linger here for too long," says Mahad.

"Let's go and find out then," says Mana. Everyone mounts up on their horses, and we take off towards the door to the afterlife. I have tears in my eyes knowing this is going to be the last time I see him for a while. The ride over there seems to pass by in seconds. We get off our horses and descend into the tomb holding the gate. I look up at the door and then back at Atem. He smiles and hugs me close and tight. "I loved seeing you again," he says. I sob a little. He pulls away and wipes the tears.

"No more crying Aibou. You live your life to the fullest. Egypt needs you now more than ever. I know you will live on to be an amazing Pharaoh. I love you so much," he says and gives me one last hug. A bright light shines at the door and a figure dressed in gold robes with a big crown appears. "You act as if this is the very last time that you will see each other when in reality the fates have you tied together for eternity," he says. "Ra," says Atem. "Yes my son," he says. "You mean this isn't goodbye," I say.

"No in fact each one of them has an opportunity to choose now to stay or to go back to the afterlife," says Ra. My eyes widen. "We get to choose to stay or go," says Mahad. "Yes though the decision must be made now and once it's made you can't go back," says Ra. "I am staying," says Shimon who goes and stands by my grandfather. That one honestly surprises me as he won't have as much time as we will, but if he's anything like my grandfather, he'll be stubborn and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

"I am going to stay," says Mahad who smiles at Mana and she hugs him. "I will stay as well," says Shada. Karim looks like he's thinging and he smiles. "I will stay for another chance at life," he says. Seth looks at Joey. "I'll stay for you," he says. I can't help but think what in the world? "Looks like you're last, but not least Atem," says Joey. "Not quite Isis hasn't chosen yet," I say. Isis smiles at everyone. "I will stay with you all," she says. "So young Atem, what is your choice," asks Ra.

Atem looks at each one of his court and then all of us. "Is there really any question about it Aibou? I am staying," he says. I squeal in joy and hug him close. He holds me to his chest and kisses my cheeks. "You all chose as I thought you would. You will all pass into the afterlife as you normally would when your time comes. Good luck and live your lives well. We are always watching," he says and winks and disappears. The roof of the tomb starts to rumble and shake and rubble starts to fall.

"Not this crap again. Let's get our keesters out of here," Joey yelled. We all ran for the stairs and ran up them while dodging the falling rocks. We all reached outside and looked back at the cloud of dust coming from the entrance. I look around at all the people who were now in our group. "Let's go home," I say with a smile. We mounted up on our horses and rode back to the palace. The people were all out lining the streets and cheering. They must have come down from the caves. We all smile and waved at them and a small child walked up to me holding something so I stopped my horse.

He hands me a duel monster card and I turn it to see it's the Silent Swordsman LV 8. I look up at him. "It's a strong card like you my Pharaoh," he says and goes back to his mother and I smile and we keep going towards the palace. Once inside, the horses are taken back to the stables to be given a long rest. "You are all welcome to stay here to be part of my court as well," I say. "I'd be happy too," says Isis and the rest nod. "I'd like each of you to stick with your respective Millennium Item so that way you're with something you are familiar with. I'd also like if we switched every other day so we each experience their power," I say.

Everyone nods and I take them down the halls and show them to their rooms. Atem was last. "Do you want to stay with me or," I start and he connects his lips with mine. We kiss for a bit before he pulls away. "I will always stay with you," he says and I take him to the room. I take off my cape and hang it in the closet and take my DiaDhank off and other various jewelry and me and Atem just lay on the bed looking at each other. He smiles at me and carresses my face. "I'm so happy I get to stay and be with you for the rest of my life here on earth," he says.

"I'm so happy too. I thought that I was going to have to live my life without you," I say. "No more being alone Yugi," he says. I cuddle close to him. "You know you've made me so proud taking on the role of Pharaoh and after being told you had a father here in Egypt who was now deceased. Have you gotten to go see his tomb," he asks. "Yes I have," I say. "Rest Yugi. Ra knows we both need it," he says and wraps his arms around me as I fall asleep.

**Ok guys I do believe that the next chapter will be the last for this book. Let me know in the comments if you want to see a sequel. This idea came to me a while ago and it took a while to finish the book and I love how it turned out. Thanks so much for reading!**
