NIGHT HAD FALLEN AND NATHANIEL DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THE MISSION THAT WAS BEING PLANNED. Nathaniel knew that he was going to do his best to protect all of his friends because as it looked now, all of the Maximoffs were in danger. Pietro, Wanda, and Fawn. He still didn't like the idea of Fawn being used as a toy in the plan, and he knew that she didn't want to have to be a sacrificial lamb. He knew that Fawn wasn't all in for following the orders of this new Clairvoyant. Fawn didn't trust her, and neither did Nathaniel.

But he had no choice.

The Clairvoyant laid in his bed, one hand tucked away behind his head, as the other laid on his chest. He wasn't wearing a shirt, but he did have sweatpants on. His body was covered with a large quilt and his eyes stared up at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep. The voices in his head wouldn't leave him alone. They wouldn't shut up. They wouldn't leave him alone as he tried to think about something else.

As he laid in bed, he heard the sound of knocking on his apartment door. He turned his head toward the door of his bedroom, before letting out a heavy sigh. He sat up in bed, resting his hands on the edge of the bed, before pushing himself to his feet. The Clairvoyant made his way through his room and out into the living room as he walked over to the front door.

When he pulled open the apartment door, he found Wanda standing in front of him wearing a pair of black leggings and a long sleeve purple shirt. She glanced up at him, giving him a small smile. Nathaniel stepped to the side, allowing her in his apartment. He glanced around the hallway, before turning back to Wanda, watching as she walked over toward his couch and leaned against it.

"Wanda," Nathaniel started, making her lift her head so her eyes met his. "what's the matter? It's nearly midnight."

"I know... But I just could not sleep. All I could think about was the fact that this new Clairvoyant wants us to throw Fawn under the bus in order to save my brother and I. How am I supposed to feel about that? Fawn is my family and I do not want to lose her just because this Tory Verde told us to?" Wanda began to ramble, and Nathaniel let out a small chuckle because he could easily tell that this new mission wasn't the only thing getting to her. Wanda narrowed her eyes at him, shaking her head. "Why are you laughing at me? This is serious!"

"Wanda, I know that all of this is a bad thing, but I just think it's cute how jealous you are of Tory," Nathaniel replied to her, which made Wanda press her lips together. She shook her head as she stared at him, folding her arms over her chest. "Don't narrow your eyes at me, Maximoff. Two of us can do this sort of game and you know it."

"I'm not jealous of her," Wanda said bitterly, which made Nathaniel smirk a little, before approaching her. She stared up at him and he rested both of his hands on her cheeks, caressing her face with his hands. He ran his hands down to her shoulders, before grabbing her biceps.
