Chapter 6: Is this a discovery?

Carnal's POV

We kept looking at the large wall drawing, trying to figure out just what it meant. 'Did it mean anything?' I mentally questioned.

Achelo looked worried about this place but these questions need answering. If they don't get an answer then something may happen.

Riga had started to try to decipher the odd language written on the wall. "Hmm it's written in some sort of footwriting." Riga explained. "I may be able to decipher it but this is gonna take hours."

I smiled a bit. "At least it will get some progress." I told Riga and then turned back to the artwork.

The more I looked at this art the more I noticed something. "It has a particular pattern showing. This one Pokémon keeps appearing on it." I told Achelo.

Achelo walked closer and then glanced at where I pointed. "That is a very odd looking Pokémon." Achelo stated and then pulled a book out of his bag.

Achelo looked at the drawing again and then opened the book on a certain page. "Here we go, it is called silvanny but not much else is known of it. All this book says is its name." Achelo stated.

I felt more certain however that there was something to this place. This sunken temple has some reason to it but it will take us time to figure out how this Pokémon fits into it all.

Riga had let out a squeak. "Aieeee! I think I cracked the code." Riga stated with excitement. I ran over to him. "Well what does it say?"

Riga looked down at his paper. "It says that once the formula is complete, the beast to aid in the destruction of our enemies shall come. The aiding of silvanny." Riga read what he wrote.

Achelo let out a squawk of shock. "A beast. In this temple... oh dear." Achelo had a worried look forming.

I looked at Achelo. "You look worried. Why?" I asked Achelo.

Achelo shuttered. "Something that was meant to be used as a weapon, this is scary stuff. I dont think this place is a good idea to look into, whatever is here is something that is deadly." Achelo explained.

The swellow was shaky but I just couldn't let my curiosity go unanswered. "To get answers we need to delve deeper. We have figured out the art but now we need to get answers on this Silvanny." I stated but Achelo just shivered more.

I decided to lead the group onwards into the temple. A clanging sound was able to be heard in the distance but while that was ominous, the worst sound was this screech type of sound.

"Um what was that?" Riga asked with a bit of worry in his tone. I shrugged. "We will find out once we reach the source." I stated.

We kept on going but all we bypassed were old pipes that lead further down. "Hmm was this place always sunk?" I questioned as I looked at the pipes.

Riga looked at the pipes as well. "I doubt it. Who would use an underground temple?" Riga queried.

I nodded. "Fair point. It is hiding a lot of secrets though." I stated and then kept walking past the pipes.

We kept walking further and further. The bricks began to look darker and darker. The light of the entry was only vague in the distance.

The sound of clanging could be heard again but this time a yelp of worry could also be heard. "Oh dear!" The yelp came from up ahead.

I looked to both Riga and Achelo. The two nodded and then we took off towards the yelp.

We kept running forward and as the yelp got louder we saw a light and it was slightly dim but still it was light never the less.

The three of us wound up stopping as we got into the room where the yelp came from and all that could be seen was a slight green light that was lighting the room, paper everywhere and an orange looking Pokémon.

"Oh, are you excavators as well?" The Pokémon asked us curiously.

We shook our heads and then glanced at him. "Who are you?" Riga asked.

"I'm Dr. Xcavator. Or Xcava for short." Xcava told us and then we all sighed in relief. "So, what are you all doing here?"

I looked at him. "We are looking for the answers to this place." I stated and then the Pokémon had rubbed the horn things on its head.

"Guess we have the same idea. So you want to find the answers of this place. Would one of those be what that silvanny is?" Xcava asked and then my eyes glowed.

"Indeed that is what we are looking for." I said with some cheer. Xcava grinned as well.

"Then you may want me on your side. I would love to find the answers to this place and I know doing it alone is difficult. So can I travel with you?" Xcava asked.

I looked towards Riga and Achelo. "Well a dragonite would be very useful on our team. I say he can join." Achelo stated.

Riga nodded. "Yeah and besides that he is really knowledgeable so we won't be in as much trouble." Riga added.

I smiled and then went to Xcava. "Good news. You can join us on this exploration." I told Xcava and he fluttered his wings.

"Awesome! So then first things first we should look over all these notes. They are here for a reason." Xcava stated.

We all began to look at all the papers scrawled around everywhere. One of these should have the answer we seek.

We have made some new discoveries while here but they dont all answer all the questions I have for this temple and of why I exist.
