"Richie? What are you wearing?"

"You like my costume? I'm Two-Bit from The Outsiders."

"Not bad." I smile.

"What are you going as?"

"Oh. I'm not going trick or treating." I say.

"Lame! Why not?"

I don't wanna tell him I don't have money for a costume. That's embarrassing.

"I'm too old."

"14 is too old to trick or treat?" He asks.

"Depends on who you are."

"Are you tryna make fun of me?" Richie smirks.

"No." I smirk and shake my head.

"Come here. I'm sure my sister has something you could use." Richie takes my hand and leads me up his stairs and to his sister's room.

"This is invasion of privacy, Richie." I tell him.

"Is that a band? Cause if so, it sounds lame." I chuckle and shake my head. He opens a treasure box and pulls out a couple things.

"Don't look!" I close my eyes and he hands me an outfit.

"Go put this on." I walk into the bathroom, keeping my eyes off the outfit. When I get in there, I look at it and smile softly. It's a red polka dot dress with black wedges.

"Have you put it on yet?"

"Not yet, Richie!" I change out of my clothes and into the dress.

"How about now?" I open the door, holding the shoes in my hand.

"Whoa... I knew you'd look amazing. Come here." He curls my hair and does my makeup, using lots of mascara and blush and lipstick.

"How's it look?" I ask.

"Hot." He nods and smirks. I shake my head and he holds out his hand. We walk outside and walk to Bill's house.

Everybody's all dressed up. Thank God Richie's sister had a costume. It would've sucked to miss something this fun.

***

As the night comes to an end, I notice Richie keeps refusing to take his eyes off me.

"What?" I ask with a laugh.

"Nothing... You're just breath taking."

"Not really, but thanks, Rich."

"No, seriously. I might have to borrow Eddie's inhaler the next time I look at you."

I laugh and shake my head. He's so smooth. "Nice one, Tozier."

"I try." He says, straightening his collar. I roll my eyes and lean forward kissing his cheek.

"Maybe one for the other side?" He asks, aiming his other cheek at me. I lean forward to kiss it and he moves his head so that our lips touch.

I gasp and he smirks. I kiss him again and smile when we pull apart.

He winks and pulls me onto his lap. I laugh and shake my head at him again.

Richie was something else.
