Chapter 27 Danni

I was walking with Narla to the doctor's clinic to get an abortion. I had been talking to my doctor and I just couldn't go through with having the baby. I didn't know who's it was and I wasn't ready. I didn't want to look at the child and see it as a mistake or rape.

"You okay?" Narla asked, holding my hand.

"Yes," I replied, walking into the clinic.

"Dannielle Michelson," I told the receptionist. She marked that I was here.

"Here's a gown to change into. The changing room is just there, and there is a basket to put your clothes into,"

"Thanks," I smiled, walking towards the change room. I took everything off and slipped the gown off. I couldn't believe this was happening. I took a big breath before walking out and sitting down with Narla.

"It's going to be okay Danni! I'll be here very step of the way,"

"You just want to look at my vagina," I joked, causing her to laugh.

"Save that for Andy," she laughed, picking up a magazine. Andy. Was she okay? She hasn't talked to me since last night. What happens if my mum already had her? What happens if she's doing something stupid?

"Calm down, okay? You'll probably be sedated when it happens,"

"It's Andy,"

"What about her?" She asked, turning to face me.

"It's complicated," I replied, not knowing if I could tell her what was going on.

"She called me last night and told me to look after you. I didn't question her but she sounded, scared I think?" I let my head fall. She was going to confront her.

"Is she like part of a gang or something Danni?"

"Dannielle Michelson?" The doctor called.

"Here goes nothing," Narla breathed, holding my hand and walking with me to the doctor.

"Hello, I'm Doctor James and I'll be doing you procedure today," she smiled, guiding us into her room.

"Are you two a couple or friends?" She asked sitting in her hand.

"Friends," Narla and I replied.

"Please take a seat on the bed," she gestured to me. I let myself fall onto the bed. This was just getting more and more real. Narla sat on the chair next to me and held my hand.

"Have you been told how this procedure works?"

"A little," I replied, feeling my heart race.

"So you're having a suction abortion. What's going to happen is I'm going to give you some sedation so you don't feel a thing okay?"

"Will I be asleep?" I asked. not really wanting to watch her do it.

"I can use the stronger sedation if you need,"

"Please," I replied. There was a part of me that hated aborting the baby. I just couldn't live through it though.

"Alright, and is your friend staying in the whole time?"

"Yes," Narla smiled at me, squeezing my hand.

"If you need to look away you can," Doctor James smiled.

"Here is the medicine so it'll make you feel a little odd at first, but you'll slowly feel drowsy okay?" I nodded and took a big breath. She rolled her chair over and put some numbing agent on my arm. I winced slightly when the needle wen into my skin.

"You'll be okay," Narla whispered, squeezing my hand again. I felt the liquid going into my arm, I looked to Narla once last time, and as the sedation starting working the last thought I had was Andy.

Once Narla and I were out of the clinic I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders but one was put back their heavier this time. How was I going to live knowing that I had aborted a baby? I killed something that was living inside of me.

"Hey, don't beat yourself up Danni. I know it's hard to know that it happened but it's what was best for you," she wrapped her arm around me.

"I guess," I replied, watching a girl walk over to us.

"Shorty?" She questioned, eyeing me up and down.

"Danni?" I replied, unsure as to who this was.

"Even better, I'm Yvette, Andy's friend," she smiled, sticking her hand out. I shook it. She was quite good looking. She was similar in build to Andy without being as strong. Her hair was tied up in a bun. showing off her jaw. It was her eyes that got me though. A violet grey.

"And who's you're pretty sidekick?" She asked, looking over to Narla.

"Narla," she smiled, shaking her hand.

"Single?" Yvette asked, looking her up and down.

"Yes but-"

"Straight? Are you sure about that?" Yvette questioned, tucking a strand of her hair away.

"I was going to say bisexual, and not looking for anything,'

"Well I'd be happy to help you get a head start," she smirked.

"Where's Andy?" I asked. She sighed.

"I have no clue shorty but she defiantly has fallen for you,"

"Fallen for me?" I questioned.

"As if you don't see it,"

"She has a point," Narla agreed.

"Anyway, she didn't tell me where she was which is why I came to find you,"

"I don't know where she is,"

"See, she was talking to me on the phone and then I guess someone ambushed her or something I don't know. Then I hung up because the noise left the room,"

"So you think she's been kidnapped?" Narla asked. I took a few steps backwards. My mum's already got her. On my eighteenth birthday. She's going to kill her.

"We need to find her-"

"Already one step ahead," Beatrice smiled, walking over to us.

"What do you want?" Narla asked, standing in front of me.

"Danni," He replied, standing next to Yvette.

"You really are ugly up close," she mumbled, moving away from him.

"She's not going with you," Narla laughed.

"Well then she won't see Andy will she?"

"Where is she?" I asked, feeling myself get angry.

"She's too tied up I guess to see you, but your mum has a big birthday surprise,"

"Happy Birthday Shorty," Yvette smiled. I could see why Andy was friends with her. Doesn't know how to be serious in a serious situation.

"I'll go," I replied.

"Are you serious?" Narla laughed.

"Yes, I need to go, please trust me," She looked at me conflicted.

"Fine, but if you don't come back I'm calling the police.

"Let's go princess," Beatrice smiled, holding his hand out.

"Stay with her," I pointed to Narla. Yvette nodded.

"My pleasure," I shoved his hand away and walked towards his car.

"Defiantly gotten feistier," he mumbled, climbing into the car. I hope I can somehow stop everything from happening. I think I'm falling for her too.
