See, during the crisis the circus was in town. Networks. Big guns. National papers. Lead journalists makin' the big bucks. Head honchos. Get the picture? And now? The news cycle's long since moved on.
There's nobody following this story let alone catching the sordid details that dribble out later. Who did what to whom...and when. Just me doggin' this worn-out trail.
But these are real people with real lives in real trouble. And it should matter to someone. Not just to the cops, lawyers and justice department who're getting paid no matter what the outcome. There's lessons to be learned and no one here to notice them. Get my drift?
