Chapter 4: INNOCENT EYES
CocoMeena here's an update. Love you and enjoy!😘
It was morning already, Hilwa had taken her bath, dressed up and was now waiting for Feenah to finish getting ready so they could go down together.
Feenah packed her shoulder length hair into a bun and turned to look at hilwa, who was observing her every moves.
"I'm done lets go down"
And so they did. They walked downstairs hand in hand and just like yesterday met everybody in the dining area except Na'im. Hilwa was more than grateful because she could hardly breath properly whenever she's around him.
They greeted everybody and settled down.
Feenah served them Tea, chips, sausages and fried egg then put a little ketchup on their plates.
Hilwa gasped, eyes popped out as she stared at her plate making everybody to turn their attention to her.
"What is it Hilwa?" Daddy asked with concern.
"This thing! Blood!" She exclaimed "She just put blood in our food" Her heart was beating at 1625536 rate and she was scared it could explode at any moment.
Why did she agree to come in the first place? These people take blood? Innalillahi wa Innailaihiraji'un!
Everybody wanted to push back their laughter but they all couldn't help it. It was too amusing.
Tears immediately rolled down her cheeks. Thats it! It was a trap! Who knows maybe they're secret cult members? Oh Ummi!
Everybody stopped laughing when they noticed her tears except Layla who was still finding the situation very funny.
"Hilwa, why are you crying?" Aunty asked, standing up and coming to her side.
"Thats not blood Hilwa" Basma said and rolled her lips. She could burst into laughter again at any minute.
"It's ketchup, tomato ketchup" Feenah tried to explain "I'm really sorry"
"Yes! Its tomato ketchup Hilwa, blood isn't like that, ketchup is thicker while blood is watery" Daddy explained.
She stopped crying and observed it closely then smelt it.
"Taste it" Aunty urged.
She was reluctant for a moment before she did. It tasted like tomatoes.. well not exactly like tomatoes but she was hundred percent sure it wasn't blood. She didn't like the taste tho!
She looked down. She'd never been embarrassed all her life.
Aunty took another plate and put the chips, fried egg and sausages only before placing it before her "You should eat this, there's no ketchup in it. Okay?"
She nodded slowly, her head still down, face entirely red from embarrassment.
"I wish i'd videotaped this" Layla clapped her hands together still laughing. Daddy shot her a deathly glare and she immediately kept mum.
