Subject: Making changes
Yeah, I guess I answered that last question.
I was able to switch out of the Mexican Literature class I had signed up for with Alex. I had to wait a good while until Ruby showed up so I could request the change, so I was late to my first class. The whole thing was awkward - coming up with a not-totally-truthful reason for wanted to change classes at the last minute, arriving late to my first day of class, explaining to the professor that I made a last-minute switch.
It's funny, or ironic maybe, how things change. A little over a month ago, the topic of the classes I was taking seemed of paramount importance. Now, I didn't even pay that much attention to what the alternative was, as long as it got me out of the proximity of Alex.
Now all that's left is to find Alex and tell him I can't continue as his research assistant. He probably already guessed that, but I feel like the polite thing to do is tell him directly.
