CHAPTER 21

WEDNESDAY...

It's 4PM when they left the airport going to Batanes. After an 80-minute travel, they've landed in Basco, Batanes airport. A service car fetch them at the airport going to the lodge. Dahil first time ni Danielle sa Batanes, sobra yung excitement nya sa magagandang tanawin na nadaanan nila. After a minute or two, nakarating na rin sila sa isang nature lodge. Lumapit si Edward sa reception area. Buong giliw naman silang binati ng mga receptionist.

"Good afternoon. We have a reservation for two, under Kingsleigh Corp."

"One moment sir." Said the receptionist as she browse her computer for the reservation. "Okay sir, a suite room with 2 beds sir. It was located on the 2nd floor sir."

"Wait~what? Did I hear you correctly? You said 1 room with 2 beds?" He verified.

"Yes sir."

"There must be some mistake, my secretary made a reservation for 2 separate rooms, not 2 separate beds."

"I'm so sorry sir, pero one suite room with 2 separate beds po yung nakareserved for your company po."

"How did it happened?!" He asked furiously. "My secretary specifically said 2 separate rooms!"

"But sir~" The receptionist tried to reason out but he cut her off.

"Fine! If that's the case then I'll get another room!"

"Sorry sir, pero peak season po kasi ngayon kaya wala na pong available the rooms."

"Whaaat?! So ganon na lang yun?! It's your fault that you made a mistake about the reservation, so it's your job to find us another room!"

"Pasensya na po sir. Pero wala na po talagang vacant rooms. At halos lahat po ng mga hotes or inns po dito sa batanes, fully booked na po kapag ganitong peak season."

He snatched the key from the counter with frustrations. "Damn it!" He cussed.

"Miss, wala na ba talagang ibang kwarto? Kahit maliit lang or kahit non-aircon please..." Pakiusap ni Danielle sa receptionist.

"Sorry po ma'am pero wala na po talagang bakante."

"Pero~"

"Miss Delavin let's go!" He said firmly.

"Pero sir baka po meron pang ibang paraan."

"Narinig mo naman ang sabi nung babae, wala na ngang vacant rooms. Kaya we have no choice but to sleep in one room."

"No. Hindi ako makakapayag."

"Pwede ba, wag kana mag-inarte dyan. Kung makapagsalita ka, choosy ka pa! Kung ikaw hindi makakapayag, mas lalo ako!"

"At least sir ikaw lalaki ka, eh ako, babae ako!"

"Oo katawang babae, pero mukhang lalaki! Kaya sa ayaw at sa gusto mo, we will sleep in one room unless gusto mong matulog dyan sa labas!" He uttered and walked away going to the staircase. Agad naman na sumunod ang dalaga.

Pagkapasok nila sa kwarto, ang inis ay napalitan ng pagkamangha nung makita ng dalaga ang kabuuan ng kwarto. Napaka-gara at napaka-ganda nito. May sarili ring balcony kaya kitang-kita mo ang tanawin sa labas. Dalawa ang kama, isang queen size at isang regular bed, sa tantya nya, halos 4 feet lang ang pagitan ng mga ito. Napalunok sya, pano sya makakatulog ng maayos kung alam nyang nasa malapit lang ang boss nya?

"I'll get the bigger bed, hindi ako sanay sa maliit na kama." She was snapped out of her thoughts nung magsalita si Edward. Tumango na lang ito sapagkat wala naman syang choice. Boss ito kaya natural, sa kanya ang malaking kama. "You can start unpacking your things, just put them in one area, ayoko ng makalat."
