Your reflection is that of a 900 foot tall purple platypus bear with polka dots, wings, and a horn. As you stare deeper into the pond, you realize that your hand doesn't feel wet, just cold. You also begin to see that this liquid mirror, isn't really water at all; it looks off... You lean over and take a sip and immediately recoil in disgust. There's nothing there! It's a portal, or so it seems, and the things it reflects were things of the past. There are no trees, there is no pond, and there is no you. The water, as well as your reflection, are merely an illusion.
What are you now, if your reflection is just a thing of the past?
Roll over into the portal to retreat to the past? Or stay in the imminent future-like present?
