Finnick and Annie's child was a exact image of his father. This kept Annie going on those days when she didn't want to even get out of bed, her son needed her so she kept going. He was so alike to Finnick in every way it lightened her heart everytime she saw him, reminding her than Finnick was somehow still here, in the looks and personality of her son.
