LBrooks23 is an amazing writer on Wattpad, who has written books such as 'Assisting Miss Adams' which has over 8 million reads, and 'If I Fall' which has 3.31 million reads. It was fantastic to interview her, and here is what she had to say!

Why did you start writing on Wattpad?

At first I was searching for lesbian romance stories, because let's be real, five years ago there was even LESS representation than there is now for LGBT people. Then, I realized most stories I read over-sexualized same-sex romance, especially lesbian relationships. The representation was way off! So, me being a storyteller myself, I decided to write my own!

What's been your proudest moment on Wattpad?

Honestly, there have been so many, but if I had to chose I'd have to say winning in The 2015 Watty Awards with my book "If I Fall". That meant a lot to me.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

My inspiration comes from all different directions. People in my life, my emotions, movies, music, books, TV shows, world events... literally everywhere. Lol.

Which book has been the most fun to write?

This is such a hard question! Gosh, I guess I'd have to say AMA, or "Assisting Miss Adams". Although, my "Line Of Fire" series was also a lot of fun as well. All of my books are fun to write! Also, fun fact, jumping back up to what inspires my books... Sam, and AMA in general, was pretty much inspired by a period in my life where I was listening to nothing but 80s rock music!

What's the hardest part about writing on Wattpad?

Overly critical readers. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate intellectual criticism, but at the end of the day, it's Wattpad. Remember, authors aren't perfect and, well, you get to read novels for FREE.

What type of chapters are the most fun to write?

I LOVE writing intense, emotional chapters and... banter scenes ;). Sam and Blair scenes were my favorite!

And finally, what advice would you give to a new writer on Wattpad?

Write even if you think it's bad. Just write your ideas. Write EVERYDAY. It's just like any other skill. You have to practice. My early work is not my proudest, but people still seem to love it. And my writing is only getting better. ALSO, don't write to get "famous". Write because it's your passion. Write because you want to touch someone, even if it's one person, and help them through a hard time. I believe that's what got me to where I am today!
