I'm sad and I'm tired
And lately I've been feeling
Pretty uninspired and
My sleep schedule is off the clock.
I've been so distracted with
The world around me and
On the internet but
My thoughts are ten thousand miles an hour
And there are a million post-it notes
Pinned around my computer,
But I can only vaguely recall
What half of them mean
And all I know is that
I've made at least five
Paper cranes from tiny orange squares.
Maybe I'll finally get that wish granted
If I had half a mind to
Keep one goal for longer than a day,
But I kinda forgot where I left
My mind and it's kinda cliche
For me to say that I'd be wishing
For the happiness of all, even
If it would cost me mine.
Instead though
I'll just sit here and type away
Because I don't have anything better to do
And my eyelids are heavy
And I don't think I'll sleep tonight
But this is all kinda stupid because
My thoughts are a little odd
In the early hours of late at night
Where I sit in the dark
And question where my inspiration went.
