Chapter 5: What could be the next thing?

Carnal's POV

I had just awoke fron sleeping and felt a little woozie but that may just be due to my moving to a stand quicker than I should.

Achelo had gotten up before I did as I did not see him in his nest. "Hmm I wonder where he had gotten off to?" I asked myself and then decided to exit to the living room.

Achelo, as it turned out, was cooking some meal for breakfast and as he was doing that the newest addition to our team was sitting at the table.

He seemed to of been playing with some sort of marble or orb. "Good morning Carnal." Riga had said to me kindly.

I nodded back to him and then sat at the table, my eyes were a curious green now as I looked at Riga's marble.

Riga blinked. "Carnal what are you staring at me for?" Riga asked me and so I pointed to the marble.

I gave Riga a smile. "What sort of marble is that?" I asked Riga and he chuckled.

"This isn't a marble. It is my mega stone." Riga explained. I was rather stunned by the item but then again I was always curious.

Riga and I spoke for a while longer but were inturrupted by Achelo walking in with breakfast. It was rather similar to our last breakfast we had yesterday.

"Well now I guess I missed a bit of team chat ay?" Achelo asked with a bit of a chuckle.

Riga nodded. "I was just explaining to Carnal that this is a mega stone." Riga held his mega stone up to show Achelo.

Achelo looked at it. "Hmm that is quite a strong stone. I wish I could mega evolve sometimes." Achelo told Riga and by extention me.

I began to eat my muesli as Riga began on his eggs. "Mmm this is pretty good but isn't it awkward for a swellow to eat eggs?" Riga asked Achelo out of curiosity.

Achelo just chuckled a bit. "It isnt odd to me. They aren't my eggs nor are they swellow eggs anyway." Achelo explained with a bit of laughter.

We continued to eat though I was thinking more and more about that laboratory than anything else. "Hey Achelo, I think we should go back to that lab. The one in the sunken temple." I had suggested.

Achelo gave a skeptical look. "Carnal, why would you want to go back there?" Achelo asked me while Riga just gave an empty look.

I sighed a little bit. Questions flooding in my mind didn't help with my way of suggesting. "I need to find answers about it. I feel like that is important." I told Achelo and he sighed a bit.

I looked a little worried that he didn't like the idea of it. "Carnal, some answers are not worth finding. That place is too scary to go back to." Achelo stated bluntly.

Riga blinked and I felt a little down so my eye colour showed that. "Well maybe we might find something of use in that place." Riga stated as he attempted to help.

Achelo looked at us both. "Fine but if anyone sets something off... I'd hate to see what could happen so just be careful as we scope it out." Achelo told us both.

Riga and I nodded in agreement to the terms.

We as a team finished our food and then I went and got my cloak on while Riga latched a cape on and Achelo packed the team pack.

We were ready to head into the sunken temple to adventure and discover. I just hope we discover answers to why it is there and how come the temple sunk anyway.

Timeskip

We had reached the entry into the sunken temple, the energy exuding from it however was rather intimidating. Achelo gulped. "You guys ready?"

Riga simply nodded while I smiled a little. "Of course. I am always ready to do anything that clears my curious mind of its questions." I told Achelo and he blinked.

Achelo lead us into the sunken temple and as with last time we were here, we saw the massive temple painting. "This is where we have to find what it means?" Achelo asked me.

I nodded. "My curious mind had kicked into gear after seeing this. We should figure out what it means." I stated and then stared at the artwork.

Maybe then my curiosity can manage to help me discover something that may just change my perception of myself.
