Title: The Accidental Tourists
Seventeen-year-old Charlie Kennedy has always been second-best compared to her older sister, Olivia Kennedy. That fact is driven home now that Olivia is getting married to fancy-pants heir Scott Dixon in a million-dollar Los Angeles wedding. Just when Charlie thinks she can’t be more invisible to her mother, too. When she thinks her life can’t possibly get any worse, she meets the best man’s idiot of a younger brother.
Trevor Hart is the unluckiest guy on the planet, no kidding. So with Trevor’s luck, what starts out as an innocent errand turns into an accidental vacation. To Mexico. To make it back to Los Angeles in time for the wedding (otherwise Charlie’s mother might just kill her), Charlie and Trevor must survive rough terrain, strange locals, and worst of all, each other. But along the way, these accidental tourists might just stumble upon love.
All rights go to the fabulous ToastedBagels who has created a short, light, humour-filled, adventurous, and romantic short story. If you’re someone who’s looking for a light, short read, TAT is the book for you.
I loved it, from the very beginning. I love the way she writes, so perfectly, and I love the way she’s able to portray so many different things and ideas and thoughts through mere sentences, words put together in a line.
Not to mention, I’m sort of in love with writers ToastedBagels, demonicblackcat and ACRL37. Those three authors are my all-time favourites, and yes (correct me if I’m incorrect) they are all female. So, I’m a little biased towards the same gender, but what can I say? Natural human instinct.
There’s not much to say about this book, but if you like reading about questionable prostitutes (quoted from ToastedBagels) then you’ll definitely love this book. ;)
TAT is definitely worth a read. I loved it, and if you’ve liked at least some of my suggestions so far I have no doubt you’ll love this one, too.
