Chapter 8- The date xx

Harry's P.O.V

*EIGHT MONTHS LATER*

As I walked to charms with Hermione and Draco, I felt something in my pocket, it was a small, slightly scrunched up piece of parchment, it read:

Dear Harry, meet me in the broomstick cupboard next to the great hall after potions,

I love you- Draco xx

I smiled at it then put it back in my pocket before anyone else saw, then I walked casually closer to Draco and whispered in his ear "Okay, I'll see you there." He looked at me and I winked back at him as we continued walking to class. Once we got there, we where put on separate desks and give a book to read and take notes on something that I honestly didn't care about. I actually spent most of the lesson trying to sneak a glance at Draco, 'he looks so hot when he thinks' I thought to myself as I pretended to read.

Once class was dismissed, I told Hermione that I had a bit of a head ache and that I was going to go and lay down for a bit because we had a free lesson. She smiled and said she hoped I felt better soon and walked of in another direction to go and meet up with Ginny. I made my way quickly to the broom cupboard and knocked on the door. The door opened and I felt a strong hand grab my by the collar and drag me in. As soon as the door shut, I felt Draco push his lips against mine sweetly.

He pulled away slowly and said "Why hello there Potter, fancy seeing you here." In a very sarcastic tone. I pecked him slightly on the lips and smiled at him lovingly.

"So what did you want Malfoy?" I asked, putting emphasis on the fact that I'd called him Malfoy, not Draco.

"Well Potter, I thought as we have an hour to do whatever we want, we could go for a romantic walk in the forest. If you want." I smiled at him and he went slightly red in the face, he's so cute when he's nervus.

I smiled and said, "I would love to." He grinned and took my hand as we walked out of the cupboard with huge smiles on both of our faces. "Is this gonna be like our first date then?" I asked curiously.

"If you want it to be, but I will defiantly have to start coming up with better ideas for dates, I mean, a walk around school is a bit crap for a first date!" I giggled at him and stopped us so that he'd turn to look at me,

"Its a perfect first date, anything would be a perfect date, as long as it's with you." He smiled as I kissed his nose gently. Then we walked down to the forbidden forest hand in hand, although every time we turned a corner and saw someone coming, we let go of each others hands and just walked side by side for a bit, until they where gone. I said I didn't mind, he didn't either, but if I was being 100% honest, I'd say it bothered me a lot that he didn't want people to know about us, but I knew that I just needed to give him some time, he'd just found out he had a little brother, his Dad had cheated on his Mum and his Dad had disowned him! He already had a lot on his plate and I loved him enough that I let him have his time.

Draco's P.O.V

Once we'd walked all the way to the forbidden forest, we sat down on the woodland floor and I put my arm around Harry, he smiled, but I could see there was something bothering him. "Harry? What's wrong?" I asked, trying to have confidence in my voice, but failing, since I was worried he was upset and maybe that he wanted to leave.

"Nothing." He replied quietly, he smiled up at me and pecked me lightly on the lips, obviously trying to distract me from whatever was wrong with him.

"Harry, I'm not stupid, I know there's something up!" He looked down, I put my finger under his chin and lifted his face so he'd have to look up at me. I could see tears in his eyes, I knew something was wrong so I had to know so that I could help him, like he always helps me. I thought we where having a good time, I coulcn't understand why he was so upset.

"Seriously Harry, what's wrong babe?" He tried to look away from me, but my finger under his chin wouldn't let him and even if he had managed to look away, I would have probably grabbed his face and made him look at me. I looked into his eyes, trying to read his expression, but there was nothing, it was as though he'd gone blank.

"It's nothing Draco, honestly. I'm just being stupid. Come on, lets go." He said, putting an obviously fake smile on his face. He even tried to start walking away, further into the forest.

"Harry, please. Just tell me. You know I'll only worry about it until you tell me. It's better for you to just tell me now." I sighed.

"It's just... I love you, so much! And I know its hard for you. But I really wanna tell people about us! God, I wanna shout it from the rooftops how much I love you Draco! Because I do! I love you and only you! I wanna be with you forever and I really don't wanna loose you! So I'll wait 'till you're ready to come out." He gave a sad smile which made me feel more guilty than I had through the whole time that he was talking!

"Harry, I love you too, so much. I understand why you want to come out, and I do too. But we cant." He gave me a confused look, as though he was asking why, without using words.

"You where fine with holding my hand and letting people see before we go together." He whispered, almost in a pained tone.

I hated hurting him, but he had to understand I was trying to protect him."Don't you realise how many people would want to kill us for the fact that we are from separate sides! I'm a deatheater! You're considered a hero in the eyes of thousands, both wizard and muggle! I don't want them to break what we have." I let a tear fall, but he wiped it away and said

"I wont let them! I love you! Do you really think I'd let anything or anyone tear us apart?" I shook my head and he kissed me gently.

"I love you Harry Potter!" He smiled and pecked my lips lightly.

As he pulled away he said "I love you too Draco Malfoy!" I smiled again, because I knew he meant it, it was only my Mother and Pansy who had ever shown me any real love. But Harry, he was different, I loved him and he loved me and I no longer needed anyone else because I had Harry, my Harry! We spent a moment just staring into each others eyes.

Then, it was like a spark of an idea came to his mind. He smiled at me and asked me one simple question that I never thought I'd be asked. "Draco? Will you marry me?"

AHHHHHHHHHHHH, cliff hanger! I hope you guys enjoyed that, I will update as soon as possible, although I am back in school on Tuesday so I'll probably update but next Saturday (not tomorrow)
