All Aubrey St. Clair thought she wanted was to make her debut and begin her climb up the social ladder of high society. A convenient marriage and a comfortable life would suffice.
But then somebody went and turned her into a cat.
Found by a "slum magician," a dabbler in potions scorned by the more aristocratic members of the breed, Aubrey begins her reintegration into human society. Unfortunately, her keeper would happily vivisect her in order to reveal her secrets. And Lord Simon, the one man of influence who claims he can "cure" her, doesn't have her best interests in mind either.
Aubrey's only hope of rescue is with the scorned, newly formed police. But first she'll have to figure out how to become fully human again. Or perhaps becoming fully human is the last thing she really wants.
