The day I ended up breaking down was super hard for me. It was like I was ready to give up on everything that didn't even start yet. So, today I decided to take Katrina's idea and take the day off. I was now in Deion's house and it was my first time being here during our few months of dating. For him to be a guy, he was completely neat and his house smelled so good.
Maybe, his mom taught him how to clean.
"What you thinking over there, gorgeous?" He asked from his kitchen, since he was going to cook something for me. He wouldn't tell me what he's going to cook but he just knew I was going to like it.
"How well put together your home is," I responded as he then walked over to me with a spoon, causing me look down at the apron he wore with a smile as he put the spoon up to my mouth. "What's this?"
"Food. Now open your mouth, baby girl." He instructed, placing the spoon closer to my mouth, then proceeded into watching my face expressions as I chewed the food. "It's good right?"
"Yes, it is." I moaned, at the flavor that connected with my taste buds. "Well seasoned and the flavors are great."
"Good. You okay?" He looked at me again, analyzing my face for any hint of sadness but I wasn't in his presence at least.
I knew that Kobe told him about the situation that led me to breaking down, and instead of being mad at him for telling Deion, I was glad that he did because I'd probably would be scared to tell him anything.
"I'm okay," I reassured him, grabbing his face and kissed him passionately. "You don't have to worry."
"I'm glad that you were around someone that cared about you," He sat the spoon on the paper towel before pulling me into his arms. "I ain't know what to think whenever I got the phone call, I literally felt a tug in my heart."
"I love you," I smiled, letting him wrap his arms around me. "I'm sorry for scaring you too, I just tend to overact a lot when I'm trying to get everything done right away."
"I understand that since you stay working hard," He nodded his head. "But sometimes it's best to have a day off to clear your head, because I'm sure there's other people that could relate to stressing out from working too much.. you just got to chill for a day, and keep your mind cleared of from any work associated, doll."
"You're right." I entwined his hands with mine, lifting it to my lips and kissing it.
He kissed my forehead, pulling away from me and back into the kitchen to continue cooking the food. I wasn't sure what it was, but it smelled really good.
