Int: Hello Katie, welcome to your first ever vogue interview. What does it feel like? Officially being on the front cover of vogue?
KG:Very weird and surreal. I'm honoured to be able to be on the front cover of one of the biggest fashion magazines in the business. For someone not so fashionable anyway.
Int: You must be joking! I love your fashion sense and so do millions. Your fan base is growing by the second. How do you handle that kind of pressure knowing millions are watching your every move and are judging you by what you do?
KG: Straight in with the tough questions, yay! It's very hard to know that a lot of people know of you and are watching and waiting for you to slip up at what you're doing and judge everything you do. You have to be careful about who you're with and what you post because as soon as I post something with the opposite gender it's like well they're automatically dating and I'm like so I can't have male friends? I also can't just go out for a walk without someone their incase people spot me. I've lost a lot of freedom but it's the price I have to pay for the job I've always wanted and I wouldn't have it any other way.
INT: Moving on from that what fashion statements do you love by? Like what is your typical day to day thing if you're going out during the day and same for night?
KG: Being brutally honest here if I don't go out that day I'm usually no makeup, comfy sweater and sweats with a big ponytail or messy bun in my hair binge watching tv show and Disney movies but if I'm going out during the day with my friends just something that I'm comfortable with and looks nice. I'm not very fussy but I like to make an effort. An oversized denim jacket is a must. Recently thanks to a friend I have gotten into black skinny ripped jeans. I don't really have a favourite brand, as I said not really fussed on what it is and who it's made by if I feel comfortable with it and I like it then that's all that matters. Same with if I go out in the evening for whatever reason.
INT: So here at vogue we've noticed you've been hanging around a very handsome British man called Harry Styles, what's going on between the two of you?
KG: Well we are friends and we only met back in October/November time when I had only just started. It feels like I've known him for years though. At this moment of time he's one of my best friends, but I don't know. You never know what life can throw at you. I have to put up with him texting me terrible puns at random moments in the day or a video of a cat doing something stupid. And yes Harry Edward Styles actually does that people. I will spill the tea and show you proof if you don't believe. Harry's going to kill me for saying that, sorry bud I love ya really.
INT: Now that is one world exclusive I'm telling you! Just to let you know everyone here at vogue ships the two of you.
KG: Thanks? I guess?
INT: One final question when are you going to release your album! And is their any collaborations on it!?
KG: I'm not allowed to say the exact date unless I want to be sued but it's soon. I'm not allowed to say who but their are collaborations on their. All I can say is their are plenty of songs for a debut album including 'come and get it' , 'hands to myself' and 'say something' featuring Harry that was released at the start of December for fifty shades darker.
INT: We cannot wait. Thank you for doing this interview Katie, it's been a pleasure.
KG: It was an honour and a dream of mine. Thanks for letting me doing it
