"Wait...Me? I can't have the first key. I'm just a small little girl who yells at people when they kill bugs-I even tried to be vegan! I can't belong to a secret killer gang who plays with bows and arrows for fun, and their icebreakers are what weapons they use. I talk about school, and art, and food and normal people things. I'm not a killer so count me out," Jessica said, and a tear fell down her face.

"What's around your neck?" Olive asked, ignoring Jessica's rant.

"A locket...Why?" Jessica asked, suddenly clutching her golden pendant. It was the only thing of value that she owned, and she didn't want random people stealing it from her for their sketchy cause.

"What's inside it?" David questioned.

"Well it's been passed down from my great grandmother. Over the years it's gotten stuck and no one has been able to open it," Jessica explained, hoping the explanation would suffice.

"Can I see it?" David asked, reaching out his palm.

"What the hell, of course not!" She yelled, backing away.

"It's not a good idea to say no to a Keyfinder. Especially two armed ones," Olive spat as she picked up her bow and arrow.

"We're going to get the locket some way or another. If it involves killing you, so be it," David continued while pulling an extremely long sword out of his sheath. Olive's eyes slowly changed from a bright green into a dark red, and a menacing look washed over her face. She suddenly wasn't the beautiful girl from before, she appeared to be a being whose only purpose was to kill.

"I will kill you if I don't get that key," Olive snarled, and pulled out her bow and arrow. She slowly placed her bow in the arrow, and pulled back the string.

"Fine! Take the stupid locket! Being killed by you two wouldn't lead to a very noble death!" Jessica shouted while throwing the necklace onto the floor. Olive's eyes suddenly turned green again, and she dropped her bow.

"I thought I would actually have to kill you. First rule in this world, don't challenge someone you know you'll lose against," Olive said, picking up the locket from the ground.

"My plan wasn't to kill you. I mean...I really didn't want to. I don't like killing, but I unfortunately kill when I have to," David stuttered.

"Um...Okay. So when can I leave? I gave you the locket, so my part is up," Jessica said, backing away from the two.

"Now that you know about this world, we can't completely dismiss you. If you aren't a Keyhunter, you'll be our janitor or something," Olive laughed, as she slung her bow and arrow over her shoulder. Jessica's eyes widened in horror at the thought of her 4.0 GPA going to waste as she would spend the rest of her life cleaning up after murderers.

"Well if I can't leave this hellhole of an organization, I at least want to do something worthwhile," Jessica stated, glaring at the two.

"Before we do anything, we need to open that locket of yours." David said as he took the necklace from Olive's hand.

"Here goes nothing," he muttered as he raised his sword. David brought the sword down on the locket and gasped as he fell to the ground.

"I was beaten by a locket. It really shows my power here," he sighed.

"Don't be so hateful of yourself David. Let me try," Olive responded as she took out her bow. She began to shoot arrow after arrow at the locket and each one shot back at the group, one almost hitting Jessica in the head.

"We're going to get nowhere with this. It was no doubt magically sealed," Olive said.

"No duh," David responded and Olive playfully hit him on the arm.

"How are you going to open it then? I'd assume none of you actually have magical powers. If you did, you guys would be shooting fire out of your fists instead of using swords," Jessica said, and the two glowered at her.

"You really don't know anything. Most Keyfinders do not possess magical ability. There are a few like Olive, but we have a sorcerer who does the magic here. Our division doesn't like to get involved with magic because it's a sticky business. But this situation unfortunately requires a sorcerer, so this will be your first, and hopefully last time meeting Samuel Cortez.
